You know those motorcycle stunt shows? Well what if Barty was one of those while Regulus is in the crowd and his poor boyfriend is close to having a heart attack by each stunt Barty pulls. Barty loves the adrenaline rush plus the bonus of Regulus cheering his name after he sticks the landing and knows he is okay.

He probably gets cramps the day before and they only get worse on the first two days. and oh boooy does he get grumpy wanting to lay in bed all day, it was worse when he was younger, during Hogwarts and had to still go to classes.

But now? Oh the moment Regulus starts getting grumpy curled up in his blanket not wanting to move, Barty is on the move. Chocolates, whatever meals he is craving, weighted blankets, heating pads, cuddles, ect. He will do everything to make it at least a fraction more bearable, he hates seeing his husband in pain.

Random thing it add for married Bartylus au but I feel like they wouldn't have kids. But they are good with kids after all they are uncles to Luna, Regulus is close to Narcissa so sometimes they have watched Draco, they give the Potters gifts when Harry's birthday comes. Hell I have seen aus where Wolfstar adopts Teddy after the war, one I read long ago where Teddy was an orphan who got bit during the war. And Barty and Regulus watch over him too.

Yet at the same time they wouldn't have kids of their own, maybe later in life but for now in their mid-20's after surviving the shit storm which is war they rather not. Buuut they do have cats, it started with one which belonged to Regulus but over time they added more. Mostly poor strays they find.

HIIII I'M GOOD I'M GOOD. went to the beach today to burn myself again and i'm reading dune by frank herbert and it is so so good and i actually just hit 500 followers and there are wonderful sunsets and ahhhhh life

mimimimimii my boys. i've been thinking about them during summer lately

★ barty would never put on sunscreen cause he says it's uncool or whatever, but really it's because he cherises the moments afterwards when regulus sits and caresses aloe vera into his skin (muttering about what an idiot he is while barty's just grinning and stealing kisses) (nsfw: regulus' startled protests as he leans over him and grinds until he gets aloe vera all over his boyfriend as well and they've both come)

★ regulus convincing his parents that it will be good to have barty over, since it's good to nurture one's contacts and this is a well bred boy who will fit their standards, etc etc. thinking especially about walburga and orion leaving for france and regulus and barty being alone (with servants) at the black summer manor back in england. them getting together during one such unforgettable summer...

★ barty convincing regulus to go skinny dipping under the cover of night, and afterwards regulus' hands are blue and purple with how cold he is because of his raynaud's syndrome. he's trembling so much that barty actually gets worried and makes him put on barty's black hoodie (nsfw: then he gets the brilliant idea to warm him up by having sex there on the (private) beach)

★ regulus licking up the ice cream running down barty's wrist, staring at him all the while until barty can't take it anymore and devours him

★ barty trying to teach regulus how to swim but it always ends up with them making out there in the water (nsfw: on some occasions barty takes them both in hand and gets them off while regulus whimpers)

★ barty chasing birds in a field and hollering like he's the king of the world while regulus laughs breathlessly and runs after him

★ regulus usually wakes up 7am every morning but with barty he feels so safe and there are no duties to attend to during the summer, so he falls asleep again, barty's possessive arm around his waist as they lie in the light of the morning sun. he wakes up to him leaving hickeys on his neck, awake and ready for another round

★ regulus isn't used to being allowed to eat sweets or dessert or anything like that really (and if he is to eat it, it is for show and it is only a mouthful), but barty takes him into town and convinces him to eat two ice creams in a single day. later when he gets a bit insecure and anxious he kisses him until he can longer think

★ barty having an easier time with his own shitty mental health, simply reaching for regulus whenever the darkness tries to creep its way in

★ tracing each other's skin under the setting sun. never saying i love you out right but it is there in their every move

★ barty grinning like a maniac when regulus dresses down and has short sleeved shirts on, and it is suddenly clear exactly how many hickeys barty has sucked into his skin

Guys I just took a look at my Marauders fic idea list and its not looking good. You might be wondering 'oh what do you mean its not looking good? were some ideas deleted?' no worse. I have for just Bartylus alone, 40 ideas, keep in mind these are the ideas that I remembered long enough to write down there might have been dozens more if I didn't just forget. Im fucked and worse some of the ideas are just like smutty ideas but most of them are long plot filled ideas. And I know myself I can't take on mutiple big projects at once its the reason why my rosestarkiller fic isn't always my top prioity instead just when I feel like writing it.

Barty who does something unpredictable not to be wild but just to make sure he had control of his own body. It’s why he dyes his hair, wears what he wears, gets piercings and tattoos, punch and break random things. Because his father would never approve so he isn’t under the imperius curse. And afterwards Regulus bandages his hand when Barty goes too far to prove to himself that he controls his own body.

Regulus gets random shocks of pain his nerves forever fried from long uses from the cruciatus curse. Sometimes he felt numb, his limbs trembled or spasms, foggy memory, and nightmares. He knew his mother wouldn’t go far enough to make him go insane but not out of love but because she needs a sane heir. Barty supports him taking him to the closest place to sit when he starts feeling bad.

The two are broken yet support each other through their problems caused by their parents.

More married Bartylus because I can! So I feel like after the war they moved back into Grimmuald Place Regulus also started a garden. The place already had one but it was rarely used nor was it alive instead, it was preserved in a perfect state so there was no reason to work on it.

Regulus worked for weeks and weeks to get the garden started, Barty without a doubt carried all the heavy stuff. On top of that I believe he also carried all the furniture during remodeling and moved it until Regulus said he liked it.

They go on dates, even at late 50's they go on little dates though you would expect them all to be dinners and getting cute gifts. Nononono. Instead its going to a museum about different ways Muggles tortured each other back then. This is fun I love writing these two so much.
