Woke up remembering how I enjoyed reading all sorts of books in my school library after my PSLE exams during our free periods. Can't remember what the others did or went, but I remembered how my teachers filled the library with a variety of books, which made me wonder how much more I didn't know. Then I recalled bits of how we prepared for a graduation dance performance for our last day. Somehow I was roped into the group. Not everyone had a computer then, the whole group of us like 9-15 people? excitedly gathered around one of the 2 fastest pentium something computers in the library, and navigated the world wide web on Internet Explorer through the expert hands of the "IT-savvy" aka richer-kids-who-had-own-computers-at-home. We were fascinated. They knew which websites to go, to find the latest trending songs and music video. What was Google, we only knew MSN, YouTube didn't exist and we all had the patience for the websites to load. Eventually we settled on Reach by S Club 7. Maybe there was also a singalong cause I recall also singing Graduation (Friends forever) by Vitamin C. Perhaps I was roped in, cause I always went to the library with them for a different reason, but my classmates were warm, inclusive and encouraging. Hence I went out of my comfort zone. A memory worth keeping. Hope everyone is doing well.
