I looked into circle of the Shepherd druids and they can SUMMON animals but I’m looking for like, a constant companion animal, so like, revised ranger’s beast conclave, or chain pact warlocks, or possibly a third thing

Idk whether the Ranger spell list has that many self buffs but you can always just go light on Ranger spells to not spec heavily in WIS

if you don’t have a bow or other ranged weapon, it’s mostly support stuff, iirc? something kinda halfway between druid and cleric...? Rangers are kinda weird;

Do Rangers get heavy armour because if they do this build can mostly be trimmed to Ranger/Sorc, even if Ranger desperately wants you to shoot stuff

THEy get medium, which means I’d just need to grab one (1) feat to get into heavy but also that combo would still have the split casting mod issue, which means I’d prooobably want to minimize feats and get as many ASIs as I can? and also I’d be using revised ranger and if I followed the letter of that exactly I couldn’t get m flying buddy like I specifically want (even tho I’m pretty sure most DMs probably wouldn’t kill me over trading one of the listed animals for an eagle or a hawk or smthn)
