I have no clue what these are, they just sort of appeared..... spoopy....
Following on the Roofing tiles, this is the Low Poly with some defining topology, and rendered in marmoset Toolbag, considering to replace the Albedo (diffuse with a custom ceramic tile texture instead of the ambient occlusion and color to give it more flare
Stuck between a rock and a hard place!
I was thinking to myself that I fancied doing a rock scene of some kind. I don't know why it is but sculpting rocks is very relaxing but in theory you can't get a shape of a rock wrong as they all come in different shapes and been through many circumstances, however, I still went away and researched into rocks and how many 3D artists do there own process of creating a rock.
In games just as life, you would find it odd if you found a rock that didn't belong / match that scene. I went away and created a stylized rock. Something that could be scene in Skyward Sword which Link throws a bomb at and then I did a realistic rock, something that might be long to the world of Skyrim. As such, rocks surfaces will always vary if they are smooth, hard sufaced or just basically rocky. I went away and created my own alphas to place onto them and the wall as well. For the wall, I imagined it if you was walking through some dark dirty cave lit by lanterns.
I am going to have to sketch some ideas of what scene I would like to do, but I feel like Donkey now from Shrek going "I like that boulder, that's a nice boulder!"
