Gripearlgem. The learning to tolerate comes from Gem and Grian having to tolerate Tilly being around and taking Pearl's attention from them

They aren't jealous of a dog, no. They get plenty of Pearl's attention. No, they're jealous that Tilly never gives them the same attention! They want puppy snuggles as well, why's that too much to ask for?

Pearl kisses each of their heads and calls them ridiculous. Grian and Gem continue to scheme how they can sneak Tilly more treats behind Pearl's back.

4. Where do you usually eat your meals?

YES, I DID EAT TODAY, THANK YOU. I will admit, I shamelessly eat in either my bed or on the couch. Yes, I do have a dining table and a breakfast bar, but do I ever eat there? NOPE.

12. Any hidden talents?

I’m not sure if I could really call it a “hidden talent”, but people say that I’m a really good listener/really supportive & encouraging? I’m also halfway decent at baking and I don’t know if I’m confident enough to say I’m alright at singing, but I don’t think I’m terrible. Does being able to give you 24,000 facts about various ocean creatures, space, and stars count as a talent?

31. Most dangerous thing you’ve ever done?

Oooo, I’m going to call myself out on this one, and you’re never going to let me live it down. One time when I was younger, I only grabbed a couple hours of sleep the night before and then drove to my friend’s house, about an hour & a half away. I almost crashed the car twice before I finally made it to hers. 

44. Are you a competitive person?

Gods, no. One of the worst parts of high school for me was gym class & dealing with all of my extremely competitive classmates. They would pull me aside, tell me what to do, and act like the fate of the world depended on if we won the game or not. It drove me crazy, because I just did not care at all. Same with games I’d play with my friends. They’d get so into it, and I would be the only chill one at the table, lol. 

61. Favourite thing about yourself?

*SQUINT* You just had to pick this one, didn’t you? Okay, probably my kindness or my idealism. I’m a relentless optimist and too idealistic for my own good, and I like to think of myself as a kind person. 

76. What job would you be terrible at?

Anything having to do with math or a profession where I would need to have good people skills. The two things in the world that I am the absolute worst at: math and interacting with other humans like a normal person.

97. Are you a planner or a more spontaneous person?

I am definitely a planner. I rarely go anywhere or do anything without a detailed plan in my mind. I can be influenced by others (I took off with my two best friends in high school to spend the night in a shady motel in a two-lane town with no cell service once) into spontaneous acts, but it’s very, very rare that I’ll ever be spontaneous myself.

Look Gem isn’t jealous of Tilly…ok she is but can you blame her?! The damn wolf is the size of a car and twice as fluffy as a sheep how can Gem compete with that when she finds Pearl curled up in said fluff sleeping peacefully. So Gem and the wolf came to an agreement if they can’t both have Pearl at the same time they can at least share…when the other isn’t already cuddling the sleepy moth.

Gem, eventually, comes to love Tilly as much as Pearl does. Once she stops seeing a literal wolf as competition for Pearl's love (she may have had some insecurities to figure out) she finally accepts that. Yeah. Tilly is pretty cozy to curl up and sleep with. And it is nice to sleep knowing she's there to protect them.

It doesn't stop Pearl delighting in teasing Gem for getting jealous of wolf, though. If anything, it gives Pearl more fuel!

They tell the teachers that Pearl is a surgeon and really good at fighting, and Cleo process peoples files and Tilly just exaggerates what they do. Luckily, that's exactly what their cover/fake jobs are, so they have the fake info already

(With cleos being a cover/fake name for her actual job, but Pearl actually was studying to be a surgeon at one point)

first ask!

It's one of the most awkward conversations the pair have had in their lives, and that's saying something. Tilly sits on the floor, playing with a wolf plushie and a truck blissfully oblivious to the chaos she's caused. They're lucky they're so good at their jobs; another 'oh kids and their overactive imaginations' and polite laugh and they might have lost it.

When Tilly gets older, they'll have to have a proper talk about what her mummies do for work. Watching her proudly stick her drawing of 'mummy killing a vampire!' on the fridge makes them realise it might be a lost cause at this age.
