Song Review: Ryan Montbleau and Tall Heights - “Helplessly Hoping”
Ryan Montbleau and Tall Heights‘ remake of “Helplessly Hoping” could easily be mistaken for a single from a Crosby, Stills and Nash album of revisited hits.
The voices are similar, the guitar line is identical and the cello is a new addition. But Montbleau, guitarist Tim Harrington and cellist Paul Wright have CSN’s harmonies down pat and are wise enough not to mess with a song that hasn’t grown old in the five decades since it was released.
