Tim Mcilraths voice is so soothing
Sometimes, it is extremely frustrating to be in band. It can be very difficult to book shows. It's difficult when you go to a show only to perform to an empty room. It's difficult when a show you've booked gets canceled last minute or when you get a message saying your band will no longer be apart of a show because a better band wants to be in that show and they are taking your slot. The making of our first album has had a disappointingly large number of delays.
I've just been frustrated lately. But when I am, I think of how some of my heroes, people who influenced me and my music, have told me to keep going.
Tim McIlarth - "Keep writing music"
Patrick Stump - "Don't stop writing music"
Taylor Momsen - "Keep at the music"
I know they all didn't tell me much, and I know this post is getting cheesy. But it really does make me happy inside when I think of this.
Tim, Patrick and Taylor, thank you for telling me to not stop. I love you guys.
Had a beyond amazing night last night seeing the revival tour! Was up and close to Tim McIlarth from Rise Against during the performance and got to talk him after words :D got his set list, he signed my CDs and I gave him a copy of my band's demo! I'm still in shock and still taking it all in, it was amazing to be able to tell one of my biggest influences how much his music means to me and how much he inspires me. Unforgettable night :D
Did you know that?
