So the term "Life Spark" was first used in an early draft of Transformers: The Movie. It wasn't supposed to be the name of a Transformer but instead refer to a transformer's "soul." The term made its way into a confusingly worded bio of Cyclonus, and comic writer Simon Furman mistakenly believed it was the name of a deceased Decepticon. So in the canon of the UK comic, Life Spark IS a real guy and I'd love to learn more of his adventures.
