In honour of yesterday (September 1) being the 44th anniversary of A Farewell to Kings, here is YYNOT performing the title-track live. Tim, bassist, knows Rush inside and out when it comes to Geddy Lee’s equipment, tone and the songs. He even works for Tech 21 where they produce the YYZ Geddy Lee Signature SansAmp Pedal All that aside, enjoy.
Our friends in YYNOT released their first single “Burning Bridge” on August 20. It is off their forthcoming album Light and Shade. Here is the official lyric video for the song. The imagery fits the lyrical content of the song. They are experimenting with new things in their lyric videos. Check out their other original music on streaming platforms as well as their Rush covers. In fact, they started off doing Rush covers. Since the members are in different locations, they weren’t able to be in one location to record their covers. They recorded their parts and they were edited together in the video. YYNOT recently performed at the Des Plaines Theatre in Chicago. Here is a clip of them playing "The Temples of Syrinx." Wonder why it's the "daredevil" version? Watch to find out.
Andrew Barta of Tech 21 has a Zoom chat with Geddy Lee. They talk about the various Tech 21 products Geddy uses, how he came to use Tech 21, the pandemic, and spending time with family. Andrew is very humble, thankful, and grateful for Geddy. An emotional moment that will get you.
Also, watch the end of the video. It's not just Geddy and Andrew. You are in for a treat. YYNOT's Tim Starace demos the Geddy Lee DI-2112.
