send me a made-up fic title and I'll tell you what i would write to go with it
I went through like a zillion different ideas.
Realized seemed like the perfect thing for something with that Clockwork Companion au. Also was trying to keep it brief.
“Tim?, Tim?, what’s wrong?”
With a soft click his eye moved and things fell back into focus, Timaeus blinked looking over at Isabel, a look of worry on her face. “Is...something wro...wro..wro...wrong?” He asked, stuttering at the end much like a record when the needle got stuck.
“Don’t do that, when you suddenly stopped like that I got worried.” Isabel sighed a breath of relief, “Come on when we get back to the house I’ll give you a good cleaning.”
Worried but why? Timaeus had started to notice she’d get like this anytime he’d show signs of a problem but could no understand why.
It was worrisome just how often he would seize or lock up. At first it had only been his joints that were the issue, not surprising he was an antique and it was a wonder that he still functioned at all, a testament the workmanship put in in his creation, but now it was more then simply stiff joints. Recently Timaeus had started to freeze up and stop moving entirely and Isabel was worried that one day he might stay like that.
Isabel wasn’t ready to give up on him yet, she’d grown fond of the old android. Not only did he looking amazingly realistic, especially given his age, but Timaeus always seemed so full of life and at times he seemed more human then machine.
He stopped once more on the way back to the house, and later stumbled forward almost falling over when the mechanisms in his knees suddenly locked up on him. Isabel made a note to contact Eatman later to make an appointment to have him look of Timaeus again and see what could be done.
With a smile she helped to get moving again, watching him continue on as if it had been nothing more then a minor in convenience. Was he even at all concerned at all about this? Times like this served as a reminder that no matter how life like he seemed, he was only clockwork after all.
