Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a very happy New Year! 

In review, here are my top 5 for 2015

1. Tawny Frog Mouth.  This beautiful bird has been visiting us all year, sitting in a tree at the bottom of our driveway.

2. Timber Mill.  One Friday during the year, we took a drive to Milgrove, where we stopped at this old timber mill.

3. Home Under the stars.  I took this shot in our driveway one clear night.

4. Dress Up.  I caught this shot late one night at Fed Square - I still can’t work out who this lady is...

5. The Lion King at the Regent Theatre.  This year has been an amazing and busy year of late nights in the city, with my Daughter in the cast of this incredible show.

Today, I visited a timber mill Anagote Timbers in Marrickville with my ‘foster dad’ as part of our research for a little project we’re collaborating. I love the wood textures & grains. And “BWD” for example is the code for Blackwood. My favourite is the American Walnut (”WAM”). New things I learned today. © JK Blackwell
