Now THIS piece I was super happy with!! This piece was for one of my classes, where we had to do a research paper dedicated to an artist and then recreate a famous painting using their artstyle! So I chose Tomm Moore! I've loved his movies Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers! I incorporated his 3 Oscar-nominated movies (Wolfwalker, Song of the Sea and Book of Kells) in the background! was originally gonna be the main character in each section, but I just didn't have time to do so. Wolfwalkers is represented by the grand maple tree on the bottom left, like in their movie, you'd see Robyn and Mebh around! On the bottom right is defined by how the Book of Kells draw's their trees. I was gonna do the grand tree, but I just didn't have space to do so. If I had more time, I would have incorporated more of the Book of Kells into this section. The one on top is Song of the Sea! where I added the lighthouse and the Stone of Mac Lir! I loved trying to incorporate my sketch-like int my drawings like how he did, to make it feel more hand-drawn in a digital tool I LOVED this piece and studying Tomm Moores style! the face i feel like could be done better, but aside from that im super happy with how it turned out! Hope you like my art!
These 3 final images were made for a storybook project! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to actually get them printed. The most we could do was just format it and submit that as is, and if we really *wanted* to, we could print them out on our own! Personally, I'm not too proud of the 2nd and 3rd images, but that's only because those 2 in particular were actually done using Adobe Illustrator! My first time ever using the program! My teacher was teaching us step by step. for the 3rd image + the Logo (yup i made that myself too!), I had used only the pen tool and the fill-in option. The 2nd image was when we first got introduced to the Blob brush, which was my favorite cause it was the closest to the feeling of an actual brush, hence why the 2nd image looks more free flowing and rounded than the 3rd image :,) Overall, I hope to one day come back to this in my own time and redo it all just to make it feel more like me and give it more TLC (Time, Love, and Care!) Anyway, hope you like my artwork!
