I got this idea from Pinterest and immediately had to go write also, does it make sense to have imagines be shorter than one-shots/ do you like the concept of that? i live on feedback don't be afraid to tell me.
"You know-" Hesh smiled while throwing Riley a ball. "Its funny months ago I wanted to just know your name, and now here we are"
Beach waves crashed against the bank, the soft glow of the setting sun highlighting Riley as he raced across the beach to retrieve his ball. This was perfect, this felt like home to you.
"Yeah? And I thought i was the desperate one." You laughed.
"Stop, I'm not that desperate" he said coming to sit down next to you in the sand. He purposely grabs a handful of sand and sprinkles it on your thigh. "Oh no, sweetheart... you got sand on you, here let me wipe it off"
"you're such a dork" you scoff
"but I'm your dork" he says, punctuating it with a soft kiss to the lips.
Hesh is all about dominating but when it comes to men older than him? Oh he's submitting IMMEDIATELY. (Unless its kick though cause we all know kick is a hardcore bottom.)
Hesh got a bucket list of who he wants to crack with stored deep in his diary, hidden in his bedside table
He loves to just slow down and focus on the smaller parts of life starting deep conversations with his s/o. He would give a lot of hugs and always is holding your hand and looking out for you.
B - Bonding (How do you two bond?)
Taking care of each other, cooking food, making sure you are hydrated. But also just coexisting in the same space.
C - Cuddling (What’s their favorite way to cuddle?)
Is the big spoon but wont mind being the small spoon, loves to rest his head on your chest.
D- Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)
Small coffee shop or library but if your more the outgoing type hed bring you to beaches or trails along with Riley.
E- Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)
Isn't afraid at all to show emotion, he understands its a normal and necessary part of life a think its not unmanly to do so despite the military wiring his brain to be stoic.
F- Family (do they want one? If they do, when?)
100% wants one. Hed be happy with two or three kids. Hed want to wait until the world isn't on fire because he knows all it takes is one deployment and one mistake that keeps him from coming home to the ones he loves.
G - Gifts (How do they feel about gift giving?)
Enjoys giving and receiving gifts but he much rather practical things over material things. Gives trinkets from deployments.
H - Honesty (How honest are they with their S/O?)
The most honest person in existents. He really apricates transparency and feels deeply hurt when he finds out his s/o is keeping secrets and feels he isn't good enough if he cant be told secrets.
I- Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)
Isn't going to treat you like a baby but after a long lecture of telling you to be more careful hed patch you up and cuddle until you feel better.
J- Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)
Really stupid dad jokes that he genuinely thinks are the funniest things in the world.
K- Kisses (how do they like to kiss you?)
So many forehead and cheek kisses during the day and in public. Likes to give only soft and gentle kisses on the lips in private and takes things slow.
L- Love (how do they show you they love you?)
ACTS. OF. SERVICE. Giving and receiving. Whether its putting the groceries away or his s/o feeding or walking Riley. He loves useful gifts and thinks its the perfect way to love someone.
M- Memory (favorite memory together?)
The first date, he thinks of it as the moment that started the best things that happen in his life.
N - Nicknames (What would they call their S/O?)
Anything with sweet, sweetheart, sweet cheeks, he thinks its really funny but also endearing.
O- Oddity (what is one quirk they have?)
Always has a beanie on because his ears get cold.
P - PDA (How do they feel about PDA?)
He wont be those awkward couple in theme park lines full on eating each others faces but will hold your hand and give a few nice kisses on the cheek or forehead.
Q- Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?)
Cuddling while watching some sort of movie.

Not often at all but when he does hell get silent and stick to himself. When his s/o is upset he'll be all over them but will respect boundaries if told to back off.
T - Try (How much effort do they put into dates?)
A lot, to much. He goes all out to make sure its the perfect time together.
U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)
HIs dog. Time alone with Riley is the only therapy he claims to need.
V - Value (How important is the relationship to them?)
Very important he thinks of his s/o as his anchor. It be the second thing on his mind after Riley.
W - Wildcard (A random headcanon)
Does game quite a bit, once he noticed he had a headphone dent. The memory of it haunts him to this day.
X - X-Ray (How well do they read their S/O?)
This is very situational. Either he can tell exactly what your thinking or he is absolutely clueless.
Y- Yes (how would they propose to you?)
On a beach that isn't busy during the sunset. He had to talk to his dad a lot about how do do this and to make sure he was doing everything right. In the end he does, he fidgets with the ring in his pocket waiting for a moment to present it, when he does he doesn't give a grand speech only a few simple words.
Z - Zzz… (What is sleeping with them like?)
He is warm he doesn't sleep with blankets over his top half because he's so hot. He cuddles with Riley but if you don't like dogs on the bed he will kick Riley off.
