🌴can I call you back
It's only Day 5, why the hell are agents being mobilized to fucking Architecture?
[ Snipped from here. ]
[X heads through the door to Day 48, whistling tunelessly in a deliberate attempt to get their mood back up and somehow not realizing they're being followed, again.]
[Despite Abel's warning, they are in no way prepared for the ex-manager waiting there.]
[Bleached hair. Bleached eyebrows. Bleached outfit that looks like a haphazard combination of a robe and a toga. Left arm covered in tattoos. And, most importantly - ]
oh my fuck
why are you a teenager
[Adam's face twists in anger.]
The cloning machine broke, okay?! That is not what we need to be focusing on right now -
[There's an "incoming call" alert beeping at X and they're really not in the mood to deal with it. They forward it to Angela, totally missing how her eyes narrow in frustration.]
[It's a video message from Abel.]
X. We are having...
[Abel looks visibly worried.]
...a problem in Architecture. Abram is sick, and the only one of us who can get into his room isn't strong enough to lift him. Please come down here at your earliest convenience. This is very much a time-sensitive issue, so I'm relaxing what restrictions I can for the duration.
Thank you.
[The message ends there. It's got an extra instruction at the end for Angela - apparently Abel anticipated that this X might pass off the responsibility...]
[Angela mentally facepalms, walks over, and plays the message to X over their protests.]
[Meanwhile in Architecture, Adam is trying to break down the door to Abram's room. He is failing for two reasons:]
[1. He has Fortitude I.]
[2. Abram is sitting on the other side of the door to keep him from opening it.]
Let me in! You haven't come out all day and Abel and I are worried about you!
Stop banging on my - on the door, I - I'm trying to - I'm trying to sleep!
[Adam hears Abram stuttering, pauses the banging for a moment, and then resumes banging with renewed desperation.]
Are you all right in there?!
[(For the record, the only reason Abel isn't also trying to break down the door is that said door is past the door to Day 48 and he physically can't reach it.)]
[X tunes out Angela to read Hokma's report on the recent glitch in the TT2.]
[Apparently no one was hurt, but the fabric of reality was dĩsr̯up̊tèd for a few seconds. The programming of the TT2 device has been updated to prevent something like this from happening again.]
[Huh. The things you can get used to.]
