Time Heals Everything by Bernadette Peters
Time heals everything Tuesday, Thursday Time heals everything April, August
If I'm patient the break will mend And one fine morning the hurt will end
So make the moments fly Autumn, winter I'll forget you by Next year, some year
Though it's hell that I'm going through Some Tuesday, Thursday, April, August Autumn, winter, next year, some year Time heals everything, time heals everything But loving you
Though it's hell that I'm going through Some Tuesday, Thursday, April, August Autumn, winter, next year, some year Time heals everything, time heals everything But loving you
The biggest scam we've ever been sold is that time heals everything. Time doesn't heal. We just get older. The pain doesn't vanish it just settles into quieter corners of our hearts. Life may move forward, we may smile again but some aches never fully leave
- As someone said
Share your fear (Cigarettes) with me (I'll carry them for you)
"Pega uma cigarro pra mim." He spoke, muffled by the skin, meat and teeth that has been practically smashed into his face. There was a small sparkle around his face as Death brought him his hope back.
The man that had been sat in the field of Cinerarias and Violets did not clearly did not expect company from the visible flinch from him. "PORRA! J-Joui? Por que você ta aqui?!"
Joui Jouki, whose face was still slowly reconstructing had trails of tears slowly sliding down those bony cheeks of his. He only breathes a deep breath, "Oi, Cesar. Eu tá chama você mas você não me conhece ei?" He grinned with so much affection and happiness despite the clearly dreading reality behind his presence.
Behind him the amongst the Cinerarias and Violets, Sakuras and Spider Lilies started to grew quietly.
Cesar's emotions uncontrolled, their eyes were staring right at him in search for his truth.
Oh, wait. "Meu deus" How stupid is this man?
"Agora, tem cigarro?" Joui asked again, with his hands out to Cesar, those skin rough of callous and scars from the war.
"Cala a boca, Joui. Não tem, aqui não tem, eles da arromba meu cigarros." Cesar rolled his eyes as they walked up to Joui to wipe off his tears.
With that little action had caused the younger man to blush and caused him to start giggling like crazy, just like when he was with his shotguns.
"Você tem coragem agora?"
"Fica quieto."
"... Também, meu heroi."
"Fica bom, meu guerreiro."
(Learning Portuguese sorry if it's wrong)
Bernadette Peters sings Time Heals Everything at Jerry Herman’s memorial (Feb 2020)
Mon chéri,
Love is hard. I will admit. I gave up on it a long time ago before I allowed you in. I let you into my deepest crack and bared my soul despite believing that love was good for nothing. For a long time I’ve had a fear of allowing myself to believe that I can be somebody’s #1. I believed it before and it has only ever led to heartbreak. So I put up walls thinking that I would only, at my best, ever be #2. But you held my core and told me that you’d always stay by my side. I opened the door a crack and you said that you were in love with me beside me being afraid to admit it back. However, now that I am truly ready to let you all the way in, putting my fear behind me, you proved to me that I was right to fear in the first place. You want something that I cannot give without certainty you won’t crush me in the process and through my questioning, you have proven that my soul won’t be able to handle your harshness. So I closed the door. I might have slammed it on your finger, for which I am sorry, but it was necessary. To protect what remains between us, I cannot allow you any closer to me for fear that I might break, unable to fit myself back together for you again. It is a mechanism that I use so that you may move on from my thoughts and hopes and can live a happier life away from me. I never deserved you anyways.
