Knitter problems. If you’re not a knitter, there’s probably nothing to see here
I probably don't need a solution, just a place to vent.
I have a sock pattern of my own up for testing, which I'm doing double-strand, which is a quick knit. I have a pair of scrap socks with one done, that I'm eager to get the other done because they're amazing
I have a pair that I started last night, to test my own next sock pattern. I'm about an inch above the toe and LOVING the pattern so far.
But meantime ...
I'm working on a sock test, which was supposed to have been done yesterday but I joined late so I get a little grace. It took me For-Ev-Er to knit both socks at the same time up to the heel, because the circular needle I was using hurt my hands so badly. I switched over to DPNs and finished Sock 1 on Friday.
I'm trying to get sock 2 done but I'm just hating these socks. For one thing, even though the yarn is one of my own colorways, it's not really "my" color preference (Socks From Stash forum on Ravelry had a poll this month and let the group pick one of 5 of your yarns to knit with). Also I usually knit 64 stitch socks for me and 72-stitch for the guys but this pattern was 68 stitches. I've never seen speckled yarn pool before but this one did and I think it's so ugly. I really need to finish this sock and I will push through and do it, but I'm seriously considering frogging the socks when they're done.
Because I’m not enjoying knitting them, it’s taking me longer and I’m more distractable, therefore making the length of time it takes to get on to my other projects, even longer.
It’s gonna be a slow ass night at work y’all, so, I’ll be around (mobile) most of the day/night. So, if anyone wants to plot while I work on the blog, hit me up!!
