I love the alliteration here. All those Ts in the third panel. It's amazing. And the joke is pretty funny too.

i took a lunch break and feel much better; i think i’ll have a stress session over those details later.
in the meantime, wanna see what i spent two evenings in a row working out last week?
These schedules are only for the first years, of course. Once their curriculum allows for clubs, extra-curriculars, additional subjects, etc. the schedules will change to make room for that.
Unlike in the US where both Saturday and Sunday are considered off-school days, schools in the eastern countries have classes from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday being the one day in the week where there are no classes.
The way I’ve designed it for my Hogwarts AU, the class periods are all 1 hour and 30 minutes long, with 15 minutes in between to get from one class to the next. The 1 hour will be dedicated to teaching, and then the last 30 minutes are for the professor to review what’s been taught, an opportunity for the students to get a start on their homework while having ready access to their professor to ask questions or clear doubts, or - when there’s no homework or during exam season - to study independently. As such, the timings are as follows:
1st Period: 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
2nd Period: 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM
Lunch: 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM
3rd Period: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
4th Period: 2:45 PM - 4:15 PM
As is stated in the books, Herbology lessons take place 3 times a week, Potions lessons once a week, and Astronomy lessons at approx. midnight (11 PM - 12 PM) once a week. Both the Herbology and the Potions classes involve practicals/lab work and they are the only lessons where the students of two houses learn together. The only change I’ve added to this is that once a week the students also have a Potions theory class - this class is taken by each of the houses separately and it’s there to teach the students about the Potions they are going to be concocting in the upcoming week and/or to go over the recipe and properties of the Potion brewed in the past week.
Flying lessons are only for the 1st year students, and at the end of the year these students will have to navigate an obstacle course to pass this class. Each of the schedules also include a day where classes only last until lunch time - half days, if you will - the day of which varies from House to House. For the 1st years, the classes have that extra 30 minutes attached so that they are better able to access extra help and guidance; they end so late because the 1st years aren’t allowed to apply for clubs or Quidditch yet, nor do they have subjects other than the core 6 subjects to deal with. After Year 1, the classes will be 1 hour long and the school day will end sooner.
Man time is weird
I’m either in a state of “it’s already November” or “it’s only November?”
Like, August feels like it was just yesterday and two years ago at the same time
Great at making time tables, horrible at sticking to them!
Totally legit DaveKat aesthetic
