Got My Eyes on You 💥
Time to yourself
The second middle son's birthday, I finally realized what I was sorely missed in the boundless joy of motherhood. Time for yourself. No, no visits to the beauty salon, fitness center or shopping. It should have been 2-3 hours a week on hobbies, hobby, learning something new. I needed their daily personal victories and achievements.
Here are four lessons that I keen in recent years. So, what I cultivate, rest and what gives me pleasure.
1. Foreign Language. Deciding not to start 115 times to learn English, I chose the language of the country where they often rest with the family - Spanish. I did not have the time and finances to pay for courses at a language school. Therefore, beginning his studies with training courses on the Internet, listening to and translating Spanish songs, I bought books with exercises and do them in your spare time watching movies in Spanish with Russian subtitles.
You will not believe how many different free online conferences, seminars and workshops held on the Internet. Many speakers willing to share their knowledge, learn the language in exchange for learning Russian.
2. Crafts. I had never thought that so assiduously and carefully. I began to cross stitch. For me, this activity seemed not so difficult. First I bought a set of ready-made and embroidered small paintings to decorate the nursery, greeting friends and family on various holidays, embroidered towels on the small pictures.
Full of enthusiasm that I went a little further. One day, having gone to the store for the thread, I saw a very beautiful material, and bought it. At that point I just wanted to make this fabric was mine. Thoughts that I do not have a sewing machine to sew and I, in general, do not know, did not care. After a few months, I still got the coveted otrez and decided to sew myself a skirt-sun. She found the pattern on the internet, cutting, all painstakingly stitched on hand. The result is certainly not dress for the occasion, but at home and in the country it was possible to wear.
Parents in the attic, I found an old grandmother's car, carried her to him and now it is easy to sew summer dresses for children, and himself, beach bags and various textile items to create home comfort.
3. Sport. This interest arose because of a friend who really wanted to start skating. But payment coach was high, so she was looking for a few like-minded people in order to reduce costs. Choosing a convenient time for training, and taking out the closest rink skates with mezzanine, we have twice a week, in a hurry to master the beautiful elements on the ice. In addition to exercise, we have received lots of positive emotions, communication and compliments. Overcoming fears, "I can not" and "I do not work," I am pleased and courage began to look for opportunities to learn and other activities, which previously seemed to me unattainable. My
Arsenal have already added snowboarding, roller skates, skateboards. And I already have plans for next season.
4. Photo. Well, who is not a photographer today? Almost everything! Something to hide, I love huskies in social networks.
My first masterpieces, of course, today, watching without condescending smiles difficult. And now I am not master in the art of photography. But every year I get more and more high-quality, interesting and beautiful photos from trips, walks and children's parties. Thanks to the lessons on the internet, I can not bad for your level of use of photo editors. Not only do I take pictures every day of their kids, because they grow up so fast, but also come up with a variety of photo stories to her friends and their children.
In any case the main thing - very much want. And already this strong desire to appear immediately and opportunities, and time.

Time it.
Sometimes, I am mean to myself. At the halfway point in the block, I start feeling like I am not trying enough or that I’m not efficient enough. My thoughts turn accusatory, I have a hard time sleeping, and my anxiety spikes, I can hear my heartbeat when just trying to shower/sleep/eat. I’m trying all the things “you're supposed to do” to chill out: exercise everyday, make sure you get 8 hours of sleep (it might take me forever to fall asleep, but I will miss class in order to get enough), drinking chamomile tea before bed, eating really well, petting my dog, reading books for fun, etc. At the end of the day, I still feel like I did not do enough. So today, each time I sat down to study outside of class or required work, I timed myself so see how much I am actually doing.
I studied for 7 hours and 10 minutes today (all review, not lecture watching). I went to 1 hour of class, went running, went to main campus for employment paperwork, and made a healthy dinner. I somehow painted my nails this morning too so I could finally wear sandals to school. I think I should rest assured that I actually did as much as one could in a day. I would recommend timing yourself and really breaking down what you're doing. Then you can see if you should make changes or not, but working with data is better than just being critical.
For the other nervous souls out there, remember to talk nicely to yourself. It sounds so silly (and so simple), but that seems to be what all of us have in common: would you say those things to a stranger? If not, quickly revamp your self-talk before you make your own anxiety worse.
Alrighty, off to bed so I can repeat this madness for the last 2 weeks of the m1 year!! Oh freedom/summer, you are so close... =)

Time yourself.
Before starting a task, evaluate the time it should take you to realize it. It should never take you more than one hour, or it means you haven't splited it enough into smallest tasks. Then turn on a timer or set an alarm. It will help you stay focused on what you're doing and make it more exciting.
2,500 words in 30 mins - GO!
Okay, I know some of you are looking at your screens going, ‘Is she serious? I barely have 30 minutes to do anything, let alone write!’ And I know! I know we’re all swamped with the kids and the job and the second job and the dinner and the dog and the…
