Pokemon Card of the Day #930: Time-Space Distortion (Mysterious Treasures)
Time-Space Distortion was the first secret card to show up in an English set in about a year, and it was a Trainer that managed to live up to that status. When playing it, you flipped 3 coins. For each heads, you searched your discard pile for a Pokemon and put it into your hand.
This was one of the flip-reliant cards that was actually good. Flipping 3 coins gave a 7 in 8 chance of a positive result of some sort, and getting a Pokemon back into the hand was quite powerful with correct timing. Needing that one Pokemon that was already discarded was quite common even with careful play, and Time-Space Distortion provided a backup plan. You’d even get multiple Pokemon half the time. It wasn’t exactly a required card but was quite good and worth using if you could get your hands on one.
