Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats the confrontation with Solas at the end of Trespasser.
After two years filled with uncertainty and confusion, after battling through Qunari forces and slowly putting the pieces of what happened to the Old Gods together, to finally face Solas, Fen’Harel, almost feels like a breath of fresh air.
Yes, it’s painful. Yes, it’s frustrating. Listening to Solas’ explanation of the past and his plans for the future is difficult and it hurts.
But it almost feels cathartic - after so much anger, frustration and confusion, everything is finally making sense, the fog of ignorance clears. The pain tastes almost delicious, sweet, a little bitter on the edges.
I wish for the same or at least similar confrontation between the Inquisitor and Solas in DAV.
Give me all the buildup, give me the pain, give me the catharsis.
