hey i'm not sure if you've had this explained but the spoon theory is called that because the person who came up with it was explaining to a friend what living with a chronic illness was like and picked up a handful of spoons to give a physical analogy

yeah, i know. i figured the person who came up with it chose spoons as an easy, on-the-spot metric but i’ve just wondered why more people haven’t changed it to something like batteries instead since it makes the explanation a little more relatable. thank you though
