Arianna blinked; once, and then twice. The person she saw in front of her was obviously Luke. It’d been a few years since she’d last seen him, sure, but he was… He was an adult whereas she was still only a child.
Well, she supposed if dinosaurs could, by some miracle, not be extinct; if time travel was possible despite its side effects and if a single man could construct an entire village of robot residents for his future-orphan daughter, then Luke could be in his twenties while Arianna remained at the tender age of fourteen.
"Luke? Is that you?" She was curious as to how it was possible for the boy to be so much older than her already, sure, but it wasn't particularly at the top of her list of things to figure out. She'd accepted that the world was a strange place years ago.
