Rain gives his mom a hug just case he can.
The woman blinked in surprise but softened and returned the hug. “Rain.”

(Rain) ☔ ((IRONY TIME))
// inquiry: Send ☔ for my muse to let yours stay overnight because there is a terrible storm outside.
That had been a strange afternoon. He usually wasn’t asked to escort Enforcers out of the PSB -everyone in Nona Tower knew pretty well that he had a serious problem with that part of his duties as an Inspector. So it was usually Tsunemori who usually took Division One’s Enforcers out for their errands.
Even less usual was for him to be asked such a favor from someone from another Division, but Ginoza guessed that since things had been pretty hectic lately at the PSB, not many Inspectors were available at the moment. Tsunemori herself was out with Kougami or Masaoka -he didn’t know, and didn’t want to know whom of the two.
To top it off, the weather had decided to pull quite the prank on them, as the light rain that had been falling since that morning had suddenly turned into a full-fledged storm, as if in testament to the Enforcer’s name. Soon, Ginoza realized that they were stuck in traffic, much closer to his own apartment than the PSB. Ginoza turned to Rain, who was sitting in the passenger seat of his small car.
“Looks like this is getting serious, and it’s almost dark. We won’t make it to the PSB in time.” he turned on the weather forecast, which predicted that the storm was porbably going to rage over Tokyo for the whole night. “It’s totally unsafe to try to drive back in these conditions, I can feel I have problems driving already. My house is just round this block, we’d better head there for now.”
Scent of Darkness
It seemed as if his initial worries about a spike of darkness in a world not to far from his own was indeed all too connected to his family. His worst fears were confirmed. It wasn't the location. It was the person associated with the ping on his equipment. Usually when the ping came with a name it was some shady Academy official. This time the name ringing in his ears was too familiar: Page Esthiem. The boy had done it this time. Now he was a potential threat. Close to heartless type threat. So he slipped into the building, plopped his sore body down on a chair... and waited. This was a fight he was not looking forward to.

He dodged out of the way, but not fast enough. One knife cut into his shoulder, the arm that he raised his Dominator with to take aim at the man. Soujirou steadied the gun with his other hand. Rather than scream, he was actually grinning through the pain.
That grin disappeared when the Dominator returned the reading. Subject not a target for enforcement, the mechanical voice dictated. What was it saying? The man had just thrown a knife at him, he wanted to argue, but there was no reasoning with a faulty piece of equipment.

Her target ran in terror, a woman who had made a poison meant for her scorned lover. Unfortunately for her, he’d made the first move. Her life would be forfeit to the blade on the assassin’s back. She had already issued her challenge. The woman had chosen to flee, and had dropped the glass phial of her deadly liquor on the way. Eihi took aim at her target’s legs, to stop her running. She would take her life with her blade, through the woman’s heart. It would be as simple as ever.
At least that had been the plan. Heroism is almost entirely unseen in this dying world...and yet here stands one who would play their cards at it. The barrel of her gun shoots twice, past their head. Regrettably missing her fleeing mark. With a grimace she addresses the would-be hero.
“Damnit, you don’t have anything to do with this so get out of my way.”
