BETWEEN A HIGH OF ADRENALINE, AND A SENSE OF URGENCY ... bran didn't feel it — doesn't even look down to see the wound when he first wakes. too much was at stake, 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚠𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐- all too important to be stopped for him or anyone, as bran was not even willing to stop for himself. his injury, though hopefully not life threatening, certainly appeared as such as he strode down the hall barefoot; the white hospital gown he wore, stained down the left flank. it hurt when he breathed too deep, but it pained him no more than holding everyone back.

a whole district was gone, wiped off the map. 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚎? he needed to know what happened; he needed to understand where they even are after the quarter quell's destruction, and what he can do next to help.

" for if he could not? what was the point of him being here- when some of them didn't make it the same as they did; and that those souls ( 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝙸𝚁 𝙵𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙽𝙳𝚂 ) ? were facing horrors no one could even possibly think up.
