watch me make a series out of a oneshot that was very much not meant to be a series— anyway, one david tennant hyperfixation led to another and now I'm rewatching Matt Smith's run as The Doctor and you know what that means!

Series masterpost
Summery: a new face a new doctor and the start of a new adventure with a lovely little girl who just wants a ride in a time machine.
Things change quickly with the Doctor. You knew that well.
One moment you're comforting the face that rescued you the next you're putting out fires around the Tardis as it wildly flies over the skies of London.
"A little help over here!" The Doctor cried, he's barely holding onto the edge of the Tardis, his body hanging out through the front doors. His new voice is higher than the one you knew.
"In a minute love!" You yell back, there was no other option than yelling over the explosions of the console and the many alarms going off.
Another explosion rocked the Tardis and the Doctor manages to pull himself up as you adjust the angle at which the Tardis is basically crashing towards the ground. There's no other option but to crash so you tried to crash in the least horrific way you could.
The thing is, you crash sideways, tipping you and the Doctor deep into the Tardis.
"Oh for fucksake—" You said as you landed against one of the couches in the library.
"Oi! Language!" The doctor chided. He had the luck of landing with a big splash in the swimming pool that for some reason was in the library.
"Since when do you care about about language?" You asked him, helping him out of the pool.
"Since now evidently" He said and started looking around for ways to get out.
You handed him a grappling line.
"Care to do the honors?" You asked and he smiled, launching it as far as he could and when he felt it was stable he began to climb up.
When he finally made it to the Tardis doors you heard him talking to someone. You hadn't the faintest clue as to who.
"Love, make some room!" You called from below him and he climbed onto the Tardis, looking down.
"Woah, look at that" He said in awe as he looked at the Tardis. It was quite a view though you would have appreciated a hand as you climbed up to join him.
That's when you saw the little girl standing beside the Tardis in her nightie and bright bright red boots that matched her bright red hair. Well not really red. Human red, which was more of a copper.
"Hello there" You said, wiping the sweat from your brow.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Just had a fall, all the way down there right to the library. Hell of a climb back up" The Doctor told her.
"You're soaking wet" The little girl said.
"He landed in the swimming pool" You added.
She turned to look at the Doctor, "You said you were in the library".
"So was the swimming pool" He answered.
She looked a bit confused but quickly kept the questions coming.
"Are you a policeman?" She asked.
"Why? Did you call a policeman?" The Doctor asked, meanwhile you climbed down from the Tardis and onto the ground, inspecting the crash site.
"Did you come about the crack in my wall?" The little girl asked.
"What crack—" The Doctor started but he fell, clutching his chest as he groaned in pain.
You weren't worried. He was still coming off of his regeneration meaning he was practically invincible.
"Are you okay mister?" The little girl asked.
"I'm fine, it's okay, this is all perfectly normal" He said, some fleck of regeneration energy floating out of his mouth.
You turned back to the Doctor and the little girl, content with you assessments of the crash site.
"I'm sorry, we seem to have crashed into your shed" You said to the little girl and she looked between you and the Doctor.
"Who are you?" She asked and you smiled, leaning down to be at her eye level.
"My name is Y/N and he" You said, pointing at your lover who was currently watching the regeneration energy still filling his hands "-is The Doctor."
The Doctor got his bearings, or at least tried to, coming up beside you.
"Does it scare you?" He asked.
"Does what scare me?" She asked.
"The crack in your wall, does it scare you?" He repeated.
"Yes" She answered, almost shyly.
This excited him.
"Well then, no time to lose. Like he said I'm The Doctor, do everything I tell you, don't ask stupid questions and don't wander off" He said confidently and started walking.
"Love" You said and he turned his head back to face you, causing him to walk straight into the tree you wanted to warn him about.
The little girl walked over to him where he was just lying on the ground.
"You alright?" She asked.
"Early days" He said, "Steering's a bit off plus he distacted me" he said, pointing at you.
With a roll of your eyes you went over to help him up.
"You really should sit down and eat something love, you're running on fumes" You told him and shrugged.
"I'll be fine" He said and you sighed, turning to the little girl.
"Can you do me a favor and get him something to eat? Maybe then the two of you can have a look at that scary crack in your wall" You suggested and she nodded, you gave her The Doctor's hand and told her to be careful with him cause he's very iratible right now and he complained as the little girl walked with him into the house and you stayed outside with the Tardis.
You had a feeling this would be a regular thing with this new Doctor. You cleaning up after him.
You could already see so many differences between his old self and this new one.
Besides the obvious physical difference this new body was much more wild. He was already all over the place much more than your old Doctor. But he was also charming. You were sure you'd love him just as much once he figured himself out a bit more, after all he did the same for you.
All that time ago when you promised you would never leave him, when you told you loved him, when you stayed by his side even as the power of a sun was burning through his body. You stayed with him and regenerated and he helped you. He carefully picked you up and placed you back in the medbay of the ship you were on and when you woke up he helped you get accustomed to your new body and he kept loving you just like he did before. So you would do the same.
You checked the grappling line and when you were sure it would hold you went back into the Tardis.
nothing in the console room was on fire anymore which was good. You went one by one checking the systems and resetting what needed it. That is until the ringing started.
you hadn't actually gotten to checking the engines yet. The ringing was coming from the engines.
"No, no, no, no, no— Come on!" You cried as you tried to settle them.
"Just calm down a bit will you?" You tried to ask the Tardis but she wasn't having it.
"Y/N! What's going on in there?" The Doctor hollered as he ran out of the house.
"She's throwing a tantrum!" You yelled through the open Tardis doors.
"It's just a box, how can a box be throwing a tantrum?" The little girl said. You still didn't know her name.
"Not a box, it's a time machine" The Doctor said.
"What, a real one?" she asked, you popped your head out of the Tardis just enough to look at them.
"Doctor come on!" You said, popping back into the console room.
"Five minute hop into the future should do it" The Doctor said, climbing onto the Tardis.
"Can I come?" The girl asked.
"Not safe in here, five minutes, give me five minutes, I'll be right back" He said.
"People always say that" She said and the Doctor stopped, he climbed back down to the ground and kneeled in front of the little girl.
"Am I people?" He asked, "Do I even look like people? Trust me, I'm the Doctor" He said.
He climbed back onto the Tardis, gave the girl one last look and jumped in, "Geronimo!"
With him inside the ringing finally stopped.
"There you go, you just don't like it when Y/N drives" The Doctor cooed at the console.
You rolled your eyes.
"Doctor" You asked, "What did you tell that little girl?"
"I told her we'd be back in five minutes" He said, running around the console, hitting buttons and turning switches.
"Did you get her name?" You asked and he smiled.
"Yes! Amelia Pond! Brilliant name isn't it? Amelia Pond"
The sun is shining, the air is warm and the tea ok your desk just right. You walk at a moderate pace to the cupboard just behind your desk, and frown at the absence of mugs. The last of them had fallen several feet away after being tossed to the wall, though you hardly know what caused you such a violent slip. 'No matter', you thought to yourself, you'd simply buy some more.
“I'll be back in seven minutes,” you called to the rest of the firm—two minutes to walk to the mug store, two minutes to find, purchase and pay for the yellow mugs, three minutes to carry them back—all in all, just before nine. You avoid any close contact as you pass through the firm, and the thought of it in any format brings some level of disgust to you. The whole world caused you some contempt. Your umbrella hung off your arm as you walked, and you're just past the reception when you run into a woman. Shorter than you, blonde hair a tad wavy and cut just above her shoulders, “Sorry.” You step aside just before she runs into you, but she follows your path of avoidance. “Sorry.”
You attempt again but she follows and you stop just shy of simply brushing past her to ask, “Can I help you?” Your tone is curt, as you restrain your annoyance.
“I’m sorry, are you a Remnant?” She asks, and instinctively, you scoff.
“The Remnant, the definite article,” you looked her up and down with such contempt, then flinched at the tone of disgust in your voice. “I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came over me.”
“Yes, you do,” she reaches out, and grabs your hands, squeezing them with as much strength as she can muster, “it’s still you. Even under whatever’s going on, you’re still a massive prick.”
Your vision swims before you can respond to her insult and the image of John Smith runs past your mind, a different John Smith—one who’s flamboyant, open, daring and even cocksure, moments of soft hands and harsh whispers, glimpses of bare skin—you return to yourself in that moment and pull a face of disgust. “Of all the people to save me, it had to be human.” You sneer lightly.
Ruby huffs, "Unbelievable," she mutters to herself, “At least you know that mind whatsit you put in my head works.”
You glared at her, as she skips over even attempting to pronounce the correct term, “Noscere.” You corrected, brushing down your clothing.
“Mr. Smith, is everything alright?” The receptionist asked, glancing at Ruby, “Shall I call someone?”
You pointed to the desk with the umbrella, dispointed when it was infact ordinary, "Bollocks." The secretary gasps at the use of foul language, and you throw the umbrella at him instead. "Working with humans, how quaint." You remark, and for a moment, there is gratitude as you speak to Ruby again. "Thank you."
"That sounded painful," she teased.
"It was, now," you glanced around, "where's the Doctor?"
Decided to scroll through my notes and found this gem of a prompt, how could I resist?
Prompt: "Is letting someone win at chess sapiosexual bottoming?"
"Does anyone in this godforsaken group ever think before they speak?"
Enjoy- A.
A rare silence had fallen over the console room of the TARDIS.
After the last adventure, Amy and Rory decided to head to bed for awhile.
Which of course was fine, as you and the Doctor understood that humans needed much more rest than timelords.
They had gone to bed a few hours ago, but you and the Doctor remained under the console, working in the mess of wires together.
“Didn’t I tell you before that these needed to be cleaned up a bit!?” You groaned exasperated, as he fell from his sling of sorts after being shocked once again by two wires touching that definitely should not have touched.
He sighed, sitting up and looking towards you with a face of defeat.
His hair was sticking up all around, grease coated his face, and his goggles hung halfway off his head.
You let out a loud laugh before quickly turning away, trying desperately to choke down your laughter.
“Well I’m glad my pain is amusing to you.” He grumbled, standing and wiping his hands on his trousers.
“That’s enough for me today.” He said, taking off his goggles and throwing them across the room.
“You better pick those up.” You said, giving him a look.
He waved his hand in dismissal, “Eh, maybe later. I think i'll go check the TARDIS pantry for something to eat. I’m quite hungry.”
You nodded in understanding.
He offered you a hand, which you grabbed and stood from your seat. Taking your goggles off and stuffing them into your hammock of sorts.
“I think i'll take a shower, maybe pop down to the library.”
He nodded, his bright eyes shining as he smiled down at you.
You both turned, walking up the stairs to the doorway.
“Meet back here later?” He said, turning his head towards you, brown locks of hair falling across his elegant features.
You smiled, brushing them away and softly running your hand through his hair.
“Of course. You could always come join me in the library once you're finished.”
He grabbed your hand from his hair as you spoke, bringing your knuckles to his mouth, kissing them gently.
“Of course, anything for you."
You felt your face heat up involuntarily.
No matter how long you’d been with him, he always got you blushing like a school girl.
“Then, until later my love.” You leaned up, tenderly kissing his cheek before turning and walking down one of the many hallways to your room.
He stood for a moment, lost in thought with a dopey smile plastered across his face until you left his line of vision.
Before turning and heading the opposite way towards the kitchen.
Quite a few hours later, you found your eyes beginning to hurt from the strain of reading for so long.
You had a large stack of books set on the coffee table in-front of you, all ones you had read during that time.
You read a few more chapters before sitting up and stretching, feeling your back crack multiple times in varying places.
Sitting for a moment, you admired the fireplace before you.
The Tardis was kind enough to give you your own personalized section of the library.
A large brick fireplace, with small knick knacks from various planets lining the mantle, was set with two large loveseats.
A soft circular rug sat beneath them, one you loved to run your feet across when you were sat reading for hours on end.
On one side of the fireplace, was a beautiful alcove.
Large windows overlooking an artificial garden with rays of fabricated sun shining down were framed with light grey curtains.
Many days, if you felt you didn’t need to grasp for the warmth of the fire, you found yourself under a warm blanket, leaning against a soft pillow as you watched the simulated birds fly from one tree to the next.
As you sat, staring into the fire, you realized the doctor had never come to check on you.
‘He probably got distracted, or set the kitchen on fire.’ You thought to yourself, a blissful smile crossing your face at the mere thought of the man.
You figured you’d might as well finish the book you were reading, since you only had a chapter or two left.
Now, non-fiction books were definitely not your first choice, but after losing 7 games in a row to the Doctor you’d decided to do some reading on chess tactics.
After getting through a few more chapters, one of which depicted how to tell if someone was letting you win, a thought occurred to you. Which you just had to get an answer to.
Deciding to just head straight to the console room, assuming that Amy and Rory had probably woken up and decided they were ready for an adventure.
As you approached the doorway, you heard Amy and the Doctor’s muffled bickering.
“No! Not that one!”
“Well I don't know! You didn’t specify!”
You laughed quietly to yourself, she must be trying to help him repair something.
As you stood in the doorway, you saw Rory sitting in one of the flight chairs, watching Amy try to hand the Doctor something over the railing without dropping it on his head.
“Hey guys.” You spoke, announcing your presence as you descended down the stairs.
“Oh thank the stars your here! You can help your boyfriend now. He’s driving me insane.” Amy exclaimed, apparently forgetting she was holding a large wrench above the Doctors head. You heard a small clunk before hearing the doctor shout out in pain.
Amy turned towards you, eyes wide.
“Sorry.” She said quietly, sparing a glance down at the Doctor.
You walked towards the railing, looking down below.
“You okay?” You asked, looking down at the Doctor, who was now rubbing his head where you assumed the wrench had hit.
“Bloody brilliant.” He turned to look up at you, hand still holding his head.
You smiled down at the child of a man, who held a pout in distain.
He rubbed his head a moment more before turning back to his work.
“Let me just get this fixed, and we’ll be off. You know I heard of this planet where-“ He began his description, as per usual.
You straightened up and went to sit down on the floor beside the control panel, floors were always better to sit on.
You had decided that a long time ago after the whole, ‘bee fiasco.’ But that was a story for another time.
Amy, who now sat beside Rory on the flight chair, turned towards you.
“So, where’ve you been? You must’ve been doing something important if the Doctor would rather my help than interrupting you.”
You looked up from watching the Doctor through the clear flooring, a small smile on your face.
“Oh just reading in the library.”
She nodded wordlessly, before turning to observe the Doctor as-well.
Silence fell for a moment, before you spoke up, suddenly remembering your question.
“Do you think letting someone win at chess counts as sapiosexual bottoming?”
Amy turned to you, eyes wide, before Rory spoke up in exhaustion.
“Does anyone in this godforsaken group ever think before they speak?”
You laughed loudly before turning to see the Doctor walking up the stairs towards the console.
He headed over to you, looking down at you from where you sat, leaning against the console.
“What would make you ask that?” He asked, genuine curiosity in his voice.
“I don't know, I was reading a chess book so I could win a game-“ you spoke, as you stood up to lean against the console next to him, “-against you but in one of the chapters it spoke about letting you know if someone was allowing you to win a game, one thing led to another and well, got curious I suppose. Anyways- where are we off to today?”
You turned to look at the Doctor, an amused smile on his face.
“You were reading a book on chess, so you could beat me?” He asked smugly.
“Excuse me, are we just gonna ignore the fact that they just asked about sapiosexual bottoming???”
"So! with what happened right now, is because you want to know about the Tesseract, eh? . Where did you get that thing?" you said fixing the bottom of the Tardis with a flamethrower.
Fire splatters began to spray all over the place. Good thing you're wearing safety goggles. This is the daily routine you make. Fix all the broken things and there are times when you upgrade something for future use. It can be said that every day you do repair work because you really can't sit still. There are dangers that can be said to always come with open arms. As if invited without the knowledge of the owner themselves. It's like you are a moving problem magnet. All the problems that exist will definitely be with you.
" Like I said, my cat swallowed that thing and threw it back up. " Fury said as he leaned against the Tardis barrier with his arms crossed over his chest.
"yeah I know, that. But, how can that thing exist?" you stopped your work and started to go upstairs, hand holding the flamethrower."How did it get to earth?"
You murmured before placing the flamethrower into a special crate at the bottom of the TARDIS control station then you crouched down and pulled your sonic screwdriver out of your pants pocket and pointed it at the wires coming out of the control station. The shrill sound of the sonic screwdriver began to be heard.
Fury looked at your face for a moment. Maybe think of a way to tell about it. Although it's a bit complicated to explain, it's not wrong if he wants to try. But, it's not easy for him to tell this to people he doesn't know very well. Not to mention people who just met a few minutes ago.
Fury sighed. " it's a long story. It's a bit complicated to tell. Too much drama. So, easy to tell, it started in the 1980s, project leader Wendy Lawson, who was in reality a Kree named Mar-Vell, used the Tesseract's energy to create the Light-Speed Engine in an attempt to end the Kree-Skrull War. She called it Project Pegasus. She died and the project was dissolved. But, in another time. Howard Stark fished that out of the ocean when he was looking for 'someone'. He thought that this Tesseract had countless energy. A powerful energy. That's something the world desperately needs. And because of that, we all plan to continue this study. This is what I know, so the story is a bit complicated. Very complicated. And the end, here it is now. In the hands of Loki."
(Don't mad at me.. I don't know how to tell this story. Honestly. This is what i found on the internet. If you don't understand, feel free to do your own research.. Quack)
You stopped working for a moment and looked at Fury's stern face. You then go back to work. The sonic screwdriver was turned on again and pointed at the wire that you were holding.
"So you want to say that the Tesseract has been on earth for a long time? It's impossible that such a powerful object can suddenly exist on earth. There must be another source that caused the existence of that thing." You said then put the mended wire back into place. And immediately, the slightly dimmed light slowly brightened.
Fury was silent for a moment. "If I knew how it existed, I wouldn't tell people I just met a few minutes ago. How can I trust you when you're not an alien who came to take the Tesseract?"
You frowned and turned your gaze to Fury. "For your information, I am indeed an Alien. Time Lord... Well.. Time Lady actually. And I didn't come here to take your Tesseract. I came here because I crashed after running away from a broken potato-headed aliens."
You sighed lightly then turned your gaze to the control screen and pressed a few buttons. You are tired of being misunderstood. Whatever you do, there must be people who are suspicious or distrustful. This always happens and causes you to get fed up with questions from people who have suspicious feelings towards you.
Fury pushed himself from where he was leaning. " you? an alien? If you are an alien, why do you look like a human."
You looked Fury up and down with sharp eyes. "Why are you the one who looks like Time Lord.?"
"sorry? What did you say?"
"Why are you looks like Time Lord? Easy, because, the Time Lord came first before the existence of humans like you, Pirate" you said with a tone of sarcasm before looking back at the screen.
Fury frowned in confusion. Probably thinking about what you said. Time Lord and human, there is so many difference. The difference is that Time Lord can fake their death with regeneration and they have two hearts. Humans do not have two hearts and regeneration and just die. Easy! Their bodies are the same but their stamina and strength are completely different.
" and what made you say that?" asked Fury.
"Because Time Lord has been living in this world for a long time before there was a planet called Earth. We've been here longer than you expected and we've seen how your life grows and shapes. From then until now. You're human, you're just the same, there's nothing different about you being on this planet. The feeling of curiosity and wanting to rule is in the heart of every human being. The feeling that is our own self didn't know it existed." you said as you waved your hands in the air."very different from a Time Lord, actually."
Fury glanced at you with slightly widened eyes. "So, you've been living in this world for a long time. So you know everything that happens on Earth. And what makes a Time Lord different from humans?"
You looked at Fury for a long time. Try to think of a sentence. "easy! Humans only live once and the Time Lord can fake their death with regeneration" and you walk away from the screen.
Fury looked at you in disbelief. Fury blinked a few times. "Regeneration? Like a lizard?"
You looked at Fury with a scowl. "Lizard? isn't there another example? why not a salamander.. a gecko.. it's cute" you walked around the Tardis.
"aren't they both the same"
"ahh, it looks like a lizard but they are a different species. And to answer your question, yes I regenerate but not like a lizard. It is different from the way a lizard regenerates. In the body of every Time Lord there will be one thing that allows us to cheat our deaths. So this thing has a limit and until the time it will end. Time Lords released massive amounts of a hormone called lindos in moments of extreme trauma, and it was this hormone which triggered regeneration. Newly regenerated Time Lords could be identified by elevated levels of lindos in their system. During regeneration, we will change some old cells to new cells as well as our physical and mental. What I mean by physical and mental change is that, if I have a serious or minor injury, the injury I suffer will automatically heal quickly and all that will remain is a scar. And mentally, most likely, after regeneration my behavior may change from good to rude or hyperactive or something else."You mumbled, trying to explain how regeneration happened to Fury who was still standing but his mouth was slightly open trying to digest your explanation.
You stopped babbling and looked at Fury. You tossed your Sonic Screwdriver into the air and it landed in your palm then you put it in the holster on your waist.
" So you understand?" you asked Fury.
"There's no way that shit can happen" said Fury trying to reject your statement just now. He is actually still doubtful about you so that's why he has a hard time believing what you say if it doesn't happen in front of his eyes.
'Does he want me to get injured and regenerate in front him?' You thought annoyingly while pressing several icons on the screen.
You shrugged and looked at the TARDIS screen. "hmm, it's up to you to believe it or not. At least I've explained how regeneration works"
The TARDIS lights then come on. "oh let him think first, Y/n. He's still hesitant to believe in something like this" Said the TARDIS.
Fury looked around alertly. Perhaps surprised that the TARDIS uttered his voice.
"Oh, I didn't say anything. It's up to him to believe it or not" you replied, your eyes never leaving the screen.
Fury walked towards you and stood by your side. His eyes looked around the TARDIS.
"it's talking" said Fury with a stutter but managed to hide it.
"oh yeah, that voice is the TARDIS. He's alive and not just a time machine. He has his own personality so I hope you understand if he's a little sarcastic" you replied with a big smile looking at Fury.
Fury nodded. "Have we arrived yet?"
You nodded quickly then pressed a few buttons on the controller and pulled the lever down. Maybe the brakes. The TARDIS rocked and jolted violently causing you and Fury to quickly grab something to latch on to.
You looked at Fury with wide eyes.
"well, the shaking was strong" you said before running towards the TARDIS door.
Fury then followed you carefully from behind. Your hand reached for the TARDIS doorknob and then you pulled the door open. Light from outside the TARDIS then entered the TARDIS and blinded you and Fury's eyes.
You blinked trying to adjust your eyes to the sunlight and so did Fury. After blinking your eyes a few times, you can clearly see what is outside. The atmosphere was busy with some workers wearing orange uniforms who were quite fit doing some work. There was also a flight jet that landed on the landing pad accompanied by several workers. Some workers have repaired some jets and modified some jets on the side of the ship
You slowly walked out of the TARDIS. Your eyes are attracted by the view of the blue and wide ocean.
'it's like a navy ship' you think.
Fury then exited the TARDIS and looked around. He took a deep breath. You looked at Fury.
"well, I didn't even know you were the captain of a navy ship.. I mean you really look like a captain because.. you know?" you gestured your hand to your left eye and covered it with your palm as if mimicking the Fury eye patch .
Fury looked at you sharply and without uttering any words from his mouth, you awkwardly lowered your hand with an uncomfortable face. Fury then walked past you with a serious aura.
"this is a HELICARRIER. belonging to SHIELD. Well, it does look like a navy ship but it's more than that" said Fury to you who were still standing in front of the TARDIS.
You nodded in understanding and tried to follow Fury but were stopped by several agents holding guns at you. You immediately raised your hands as if you were surrendering.
"This is a private area! You are forbidden to be here. State your name and your purpose here" shouted one of the agents there.
You looked at some agents there with a slightly frowning expression. " The Doctor. Y/n. TARDIS. Fun" you said casually but with a smile
"This is serious! If you don't leave here you will be arrested and put in a cell!" said the agent firmly. Their hands are holding the gun tightly towards you. At any time they can pull the trigger of the gun if you are not serious.
You let out a short breath. "well, your Captain Fury invited me here" you said.
"I don't see Director Fury here"
"yeah, because he just walked away"
"Do not lie!"
"I don't" you rolled your eyes at the agent. Maybe done with that stupid question.
"then, what is the police telephone box from 60's doing here?" said one of the other agents.
"welp, believe it or not this is my ship" you said proudly.
"Bullshit! There is no ship that is shaped like a police box from the 60's let alone so small" argued the same agent with his hand still pointing the gun at your chest.
"oh there is, you're the only one who doesn't believe it or not.. And it's bigger than you think" you said teasingly.
"we don't trust people who shouldn't be he-"
"Enough!"
The agents surrounding you looked at the sound of the scream earlier. There stood a woman in her 20s wearing a black leather jacket and a red t-shirt inside with fiery red hair that was only above her shoulders and with a calm expression on her face even though she had just shouted at the agents surrounding you to stop. All the agents there stopped pointing their guns at you and looked at the calm woman respectfully and stood straight. You raised an eyebrow in surprise. The power that this woman holds, she must be an experienced agent with a high position. No wonder all the agents were nervous and respected the calm woman.
But, what caught your attention were the two men behind the calm woman. One with blonde hair, wearing a flannel shirt with a collar and wearing a thick collared leather jacket and has a fit body while the other wears a complete suit also in dark brown and a purple shirt inside and has dark brown hair and looks a bit lost standing there.
But seeing those men, you remembered something.
"AHH! YEAH! Ohh, this is BRILLIANT!" you exclaimed excitedly, then walked towards the two men standing behind the calm woman.
Seeing what happened, all the agents who were standing respectfully pointed their guns at you but were stopped by the calm woman.
"oh! I didn't think I'd see you two here. America's first hero and scientist who was affected by gamma radiation!" you said as you excitedly shook the blonde man's hand and then shook the scientist's hand. Your happy face does not change.
The blonde man looked at you with a confused face while the scientist man looked at you with what could be said to be worry.
"uhm.." the male scientist started to worry about you being over excited.
"aghh! I didn't expect to see Captain Steven Grant Rogers and Doctor Bruce Banner here. One is patriotic and the other is full of science. I'm Y/n, although some call me The Doctor but that's just my title .. I don't care what you want to call me" you started to calm down and your over excited decreased but your big smile didn't change.
'Wow.. This regeneration is really over excited this time'
The calm woman who had been watching the interaction between you and the two men started walking towards the three of you.
"I'm not surprised if Fury brings new people but you're not on our list.. So who are you? What are you doing here?" asked the calm woman with a strong and firm voice.
'wow.. this woman really has a strong aura'
"I'm Y/n, or the Doctor. Well some people call me the Doctor because it's more or less like a superhero name but that's what they call me" you replied as you calmed down.
"and also, Fury himself brought me here or rather I brought Fury here.. like I gave him a lift here in my TARDIS. And regarding the list.. you may need to add my name to the list.. seeing I will be here for a long time." you said with a light up tone.
The calm woman looked at you for a long time as if trying to read your body language before she nodded and shook your hand.
" Agent Natasha Romanoff, I'm one of the SHIELD agents here. Codename Black Widow " Natasha introduced herself. Her strong aura is still in the air and this makes you intimidating with her.
"oh, yeah! Black Widow.. No wonder I've heard your name before.. former assassin and now an agent for SHIELD.. A good one at that.. I'm so pleased to see you" you said while shook Natasha's hand excitedly.
'No wonder her aura is so strong'
Natasha tilted her head slightly. " you know me?"
You giggled. "oh I just heard from one of my 'old friends'.. He was a little angry.."
"he? "
"spoilers" you said as you put your index finger to your mouth in a 'shush' sign.
Bruce looked around uneasily. He rubbed his hands trying to get rid of his anxious feelings. Steve looked at Bruce with a worried expression after noticing the change in Bruce's situation.
"Are you ok, Doctor Banner?" Steve asked in a worried tone.
Bruce nodded his head. "yes, I'm fine.. I'm just a little anxious about all these things.. I still don't know how that Doctor knew about my case even though it was kept secret"
Steve nodded his head in understanding. His eyes looked at the two women who were still talking. Even though Steve is still in the phase of being surprised by the changing times and the sophistication of technology, he understands what Bruce feels now. Anxious with all the things that we ourselves don't know what to do. What they both know is that they need to help SHIELD to track the Tesseract.
"Must be strange for you, all ofthis." Banner said to Steve. His eyes looked at Steve's face.
"Well, this is actually kind of familiar. " replied Steve.
Banner nodded in understanding. He then closed his mouth. Maybe don't know how to continue the conversation.
"Gentlemen, you might wanna step inside in a minute. It's gonna get a little hard to breathe." Natasha said with her smooth voice.
You walked over and stood next to Bruce. Suddenly there was a loud humming sound from the ship you were stepping on now. You, Steve and Bruce looked around at the busy atmosphere. All the crew are rushing to prepare for something. There is a loud whirring and clunking sound. You, Banner and
Rogers make your way to the edge of the helicarrier.
" Is this a submarine?"asked Steve loudly trying to beat the noise.
Bruce who looked at the bottom of the helicarrier looked resigned. "Really, they want me in a submerged pressurized metal container?"
"oh I don't think they want to drown you, Doctor Banner" you said. Your eyes don't run away from the propellers that start to spin and start to rise.
'ok, this isn't a submarine.. Fury was right.. It's more of a Navy ship' your hearts sank when you realized what was happening now.
And just like that, the helicarrier began to rise and rise into the air. The strong wind began to pick up as the helicarrier rose into the air, making your hair and the others hair tousled with the strong wind. You then remembered something.
" OH! MY TARDIS! WAIT! " You ran quickly towards where your TARDIS was located.
yup, you forgot to lock the TARDIS door and Bounty is still in the TARDIS.
༺ღ༒ Time Skips ༒ღ༻
You, Bounty, Rogers and Banner follow Natasha into the bridge. Natasha peels away from you guys as you guys stare and observe in awe all technologies in the helicarrier. Various sophisticated technologies made Steve and Bruce look amazed. Meanwhile, you just observed one of the technologies there with a frown. Even though you know that all the technology here is sophisticated, the sophistication of this technology cannot beat how sophisticated the Time Lord's technology is. It’s very busy, with SHIELD personnel working at stations, and communicating over earpieces.
Bounty who just finished charging saw the current situation as if he was not comfortable with the busy and rushing atmosphere and started to move closer to your feet. He's holding your pants with his little hands.
"Maximum performance takeoff, increase output to capacity." Tech 1 said, fingers pressing the keyboard rapidly. Eyes do not run away from the screen
"Power plant performing atcapacity. We are clear." Bridge Tech said in her stern voice.
There stood a woman dressed in a SHIELD uniform and her dark brown hair tied up looking at a computer. "All engines operating. SHIELD emergency protocol one nine three
point six in effect." the woman looked at Fury. " We're at level, sir. "
Fury nodded his head, his eyes looking at the front of the ship with both hands out to each side holding the controls. Standing majestically there with his serious face, he opened his mouth.
"Good! Let's vanish." Fury commanded to all the agents on duty there.
"Engage retro reflection panels" The woman wearing the uniform commanded the agents there.
And the Hellicarrier became invisible. After making sure everything went smoothly, Fury turned back and looked at the three figures standing there.
"Gentleman, lady" Fury said as he walked up to the three of you.
Steve who was still in a state of amazement put his hand into his jacket took out money and slipped a piece of money to Fury with his eyes still in front of the ship.
You and Bruce looked at each other.
'well they must be making a bet'
Fury looked at Bruce and extended his hand to shake. "Doctor, thank you for coming."
Bruce nodded and shook Fury's hand. "Thanks for asking nicely. So, um,
how long am I staying?"
"Once we get our hands on it Tesseract, you're in the wind." replied Fury reassuringly to Bruce.
"Well where are you with that?" you interrupted the two men.
"We're sweeping everything wirelessly
accessible camera on the planet. Cell phones , laptops, if it’s connected to a satellite, it’s eyes and ears for us." said an Agent wearing a suit with his arms crossed.
Steve, who was just amazed by all the technology, looked at you all confused after hearing what you all said. You then noticed that Natasha walked to one of the computers and slid the computer screen with her finger and a short haired man appeared with a serious face. You can see Natasha's face after seeing the man. A worried look was visible on the red haired woman's face even though people there didn't notice it with her expression but you did.
"It’s still not gonna find them in time." said Natasha, her eyes still looking at the screen.
"You have to narrow your field. How many Spectrometers do you have access to?" Bruce asked Fury.
Fury looked at Bruce. "How many are there?"
"Call every lab you know. Tell them to put the Spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for Gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking
algorithm, basic cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places. Do you have somewhere for me to work?" Bruce said as he opened his dark brown blazer and revealed the purple shirt he was wearing.
(all geniuses wear purple)
"Agent Romanoff, would you show? Doctor Banner to his laboratory, please? And Y/n..” Fury called out.
"yes?" you looked at Fury with raised eyebrows.
"I want to talk to you alone" replied Fury and walked to the end of the ship.
You followed Fury to the end of the ship looking around the ship.
"well, I'm quite amazed by the technology here.. Humans nowadays are getting smarter as time goes on. But I still think Time Lord technologies are more advanced" you rambled fast.
Fury looked at you without saying anything. "Our technology is indeed sophisticated and complete with a strong defense.. and that's why we need to make sure that some of the technologies here always run smoothly for this mission and we don't want to talk about our technology right now. Might as well introduce you to Stark."
You stiffened and looked at Fury very intimidatingly. Fury's serious aura was still hovering in the air. You nodded.
" yeah, yeah.. About the cube.. so.. you still can't track the cube? Or Loki? " you asked walking and then leaning against the wall of the ship looking at Fury with your arms crossed.
"We are still searching and this mission needs many more people to help in this mission. Loki is still out there and we are just waiting for time to find that man along with some of our agents." Fury replied.
You narrowed your eyes. "So you want me to join your team?"
"yes.. The Avengers" replied Fury, nodding his head.
"The Avengers? What is that? Is it a band?"
"It's a group for extraordinary people who help to fight any threat from outer space or earth.. And not a band." Fury explained simply.
"So you want me to join your group to fight the alien threat to save the world?" you said.
" that's right.. We have gathered some people here and we are just waiting for time for us to get what information they have collected and I think, with your knowledge like you mentioned , this mission will go smoothly." Fury replied with his hands placed behind him.
"Time Lord's knowledge.. I think I said I just want to help you instead of using this knowledge to make work easier.. Time Lord's knowledge is advanced knowledge and can interfere with human history. So I recommend you not to urge me to use anything the knowledge you want me to give." you said seriously.
" and if you don't want to share knowledge, you must understand the way humans think. And behave because I just got a report from some agents about your behavior earlier." Fury insisted while looking at you like a father scolding his child.
"ahh, that's just one time. You see, my mind are just regenerated and I still want to understand this behavior so that's why I'm a little over excited" you said towards Fury.
Fury just looked at you without saying anything. "go to Agent Romanoff and follow her to the lab. There you can start"
You nodded and walked over to Natasha and Bruce who were talking to each other near the ship's bridge.
Fury then just looked at you and walked over to the woman in the SHIELD uniform.
"Hill, did you tell the council that Barton had been compromised?" Fury asked Maria Hill.
Maria looked at Fury with raised eyebrows. "Was that not procedure?"
Fury just kept quiet and walked towards and looked ahead. Maria looked at Fury.
"Did you tell them who exactly is on
your response team?"
Fury looked over his shoulder and his eyes caught a glimpse of you walking out of the deck area.
My first (?) series iirc that I'll hopefully be rewriting, all the fics on here are the old ones, not sure how much will stay when I rewrite, and how much will change yet.

The Doctor hadn’t said much on the matter, having disappeared as soon as you were away from Van Statten’s collection, his expression pinched. You’d briefly reached out to him, but he’d brushed you off with a less than convincing smile and twaddled off elsewhere into the TARDIS.

Part 2
Series Masterpost
Stuck. You were stuck on an isolated, uninhabited planet, in the middle of a long dead galaxy with a broken Tardis. Any other time you’d simply fix it like you’ve done a thousand times before but that wasn’t an option now. The central processing computer— the one that held the Tardis’s AI— was worse than shot. It was destroyed beyond recognition by the Dalek ships that chased you to this abandoned rock. Without the processor the Tardis was dead, worse, she was dying with no chance of repair. Without her AI she will slowly shut down until her final parts die.
You did what you could to conserve power for as long as you could, sent out a distress signal and waited. And waited. And waited.
You weren’t sure how long you waited for but by the time you reached the last of your Tardis’s power reserve even the chameleon circuit that had disguised it as a cave among the planet’s rocky terrain had shut down. You were left inside a gray column that was bigger on the inside. The lights on the control circuit have shut down and you stared at the final blinker still on. The last sign that your Tardis was still alive.
“Come on old girl, you can do it. Just fight a little bit more” You tried to encourage, not that it would do anything. Before you crashed your Tardis had been alive, powered by such a strong, advanced AI that it might as well have been alive but since the crash, well, it was like she was brain dead in a hospital. Every other part of her slowly dying until there was nothing left.
When that final blinker went out you sat down, under the main control panel, mourning in a way. You’d traveled with this Tardis for 300 years, it had seen three bodies and had been with you for three lifetimes and now she was gone and with her your way off this planet. You would die soon too. You were sure of that right up until a strange noise came from outside.
The planet you were on was uninhabited to the point of not being able to support life. It was a giant rock.
Nothing made noise but the occasional earthquake or a solar flare from the nearby sun.
Neither sounded like the sound coming from outside right now. It was a sort of whooshing though that wasn't quite right. It was much closer to a vworp than a whoosh.
Deciding to find the cause of the noise before the Tardis’s air bubble vanished.
You opened the door carefully and peered out.
Outside on the once barren rock field you’d been stranded on for who knows how long stood a big blue box. A big blue box that read, “Police public call box” on it. A man came out of the box showing you a peak of the inside, it was bigger on the inside. It was a Tardis!
Without delay you opened the door and went out to meet your savior.
“Oh thank the stars you’re here, I was beginning to think no one had gotten my message” You said and the man watched you with weary eyes.
“How did you get that?” He asked.
“What?”
“How did you get that column, the one you came out of, how did you get it?” He asked, making sure to keep a distance between himself and you.
“It’s mine. I was piloting it and then I got shot down and stranded here.” You said although the man didn’t seem to believe you.
“How could you pilot a Tardis? That’s what it is by the way, a Tardis. Stands for—”
“Time and relative dimension in space, yes I know. I’m a timelord just like you, although why your Tardis is stuck in the form of that dingy blue box I don’t know. It really should have camouflaged itself by now” You said, cutting him off.
“Oi! I like that dingy blue box” He immediately defended and you raised your hands in surrender.
“Alright, no need to get your panties in a twist. Although with your blue box and blue suit you do look a bit obsessive” You said, motioning to the blue suit the man wore. It wasn’t the same shade as his Tardis but it was close and his messy brown hair only served to make him look more obsessive— like some kind of mad blue scientist. Not that his skin was blue. It was a very nice pale beige.
“I’m not— That’s not important, did you say you were a timelord?” He asked and you nodded.
“Of course. Who else uses a Tardis?” You questioned.
“But that’s, that’s not possible” He said and he began to pace.
“That’s not possible” He repeated.
“I’m sorry and why not? Are you here to help me or not?” You asked. You were beginning to lose your patience with this strange man.
“Yes but I— I didn’t think— It’s not possible, that—” The man rambled.
“You’re not making any sense, you haven’t even told me your name” You told the man and he almost seemed to snap out of his trance.
“Right! Of course, I’m the Doctor” He said, holding out his hand for you to shake and you did.
“I’m Y/N” You said and he smiled.
“Y/N, it’s good to meet you Y/N” He said then took out a sonic screwdriver and approached your Tardis.
“You said this was your Tardis?” He asked and you nodded though he was standing in front of you scanning it so he couldn’t see.
“It was destroyed by Daleks. I’ve been stranded here ever since” You explained.
“And how long’s that been?” He asked.
“I’m not sure” You answered. “Could have been days, could have been weeks. There isn’t much way to tell on this barren rock. No seasons changing, no sun setting, nothing” You explained.
As you were talking the Doctor turned his attention away from your Tardis and onto you, using his sonic screwdriver to scan you and then carefully examine the readings.
“You really are a Timelord” He said once he’d read through them, there was a sense of awe and something else in his voice. Guilt, it was terrible, terrible guilt.
“Like I said” You replied cheekily, as if it was obvious. To you it was.
“Now are you going to take me home or not?” You asked but the mention of home changed his face from one of joy to that of sorrow.
“What’s that look for?” You asked. The man before you was making less and less sense the longer you spoke to him and a part of you wanted to just take his Tardis and leave.
“Home… Gallifrey…”
“Yes, Gallifrey, home of the Timelords, located in the constellation of Kasterborous in the seven systems, that Gallifrey” You said sarcastically.
“Y/N, Gallifrey is gone. It has been for years” The Doctor said but you scoffed.
“Nonsense. I was just there, I couldn’t have been stuck here for more than a few weeks at most” You said but this time the doctor cut you off, putting both his hands on your shoulders in an attempt to steady you.
“It’s gone. I’m sorry” He said and you wiggled your way out of his hold and away from him.
“No,” You said.
You turned around and ran into the Doctor’s Tardis, already flicking at the controls when he came in after you.
“Oi! What do you think you’re doing? That’s my Tardis” He said but you ignored him.
“Hey!” He called out and pushed you away from the controls but it was too late and the Tardis took off through time and space. When the Doctor checked the monitor he saw where you’d set it to go. Gallifrey.
“Y/N it won’t be there” He said.
“You’re wrong. I don’t know what kind of sick joke this is but it isn’t funny. I don’t even know you” You told him and once you heard the Tardis’s vwooshing you rushed outside only to almost fall into the vacuum of space.
You were sure you input the right coordinates so why weren’t you on your home planet.
“Well your Tardis really is defective Doctor, it can’t even fly right” You said but the Doctor grabbed hold of you again.
“Y/N, my Tardis is fine, these are the right coordinates” He said and you turned your head to take a quick look at the monitor. He was right.
“I told you, Gallifrey’s gone” He said.
“That can’t— No that’s not possible” You turned back to look out the still open door. It was still empty space.
“But that means…” You trailed off.
“You were stuck for years. I’m sorry” He said and you slowly walked back to the monitor, pressing some buttons and bringing up the Tardis’s last location. The planet you were stranded on.
It was a long dead planet in a long dead galaxy on the outskirts of space.
“The time dilation. To me it felt like a few weeks at most but to the rest of the universe…”
“It was years” The doctor said, finishing your sentence.
You turned to him, eyes glassy but no tears falling.
“What happened to them?” You said but the look on the Doctor’s face told you everything.
“The Time War, we lost, didn’t we” You said and the Doctor nodded but you felt something, or more saw something. Turning to him your face morphed from sorrow to anger.
“No, we didn’t lose. It wasn’t the Daleks who destroyed Gallifrey was it?” You asked, the Doctor’s guilt finally made sense.
“Y/N” He tried to say but he couldn’t.
“It was you wasn’t it?! I remember you now. You have a new face but I remember the Doctor! The warrior, the fighter, you destroyed them didn’t you? Didn’t you?” You yelled, pushing him against one of the antler-like pillars that surrounded the console.
“You killed them all” You said and he didn’t deny it.
“Yes. Yes I killed them, I destroyed Gallifrey” He admitted. He looked pathetic. Tears in his eyes and voice uneven. You could barely even stay mad at him with the sheer amount of guilt radiating off of him.
“I had no choice. It was Gallifrey or the universe” He said.
“And you destroyed my home. Our home.” You said solemnly.
“It was the only way to end it” He said, though he sounded more like he was trying to convince himself than you.
You took a seat on the top step leading to the console and the doctor sat beside you.
“Are there any others?” You asked but he shook his head.
“I thought I was alone until I met you,” He said. “the last living timelord. A relic of a bygone era”
“Where have you been? I mean this thing’s old but she obviously still works” You said.
“All over the place, every planet in every galaxy, or I will be” He said and you chuckled.
“You sound like an academy student” You said.
“I was one, a long time ago” He said.
The two of you just sat there for a while. Neither knowing what to say.
You were the last of your kind in the place where your planet used to be.
“You could come with me, you know. It’s always better to travel with someone” The doctor said and you turned to him.
“You’ve just met me” You said, almost as if you were reminding him.
“Well then let’s get to know each other!” He said, excitedly jumping up and running to the console.
“Where have you always wanted to go? Let’s go there, talk, explore, travel partners, why not?” He said, he sounded like a little kid on his birthday.
You stood up and slowly made your way to the console.
“Before I was shot down I was on my way to Delphon to do some more research into their language structure” You said, your tone almost teasing the idea and the Doctor smiled.
“I love it! Setting a course now” He said and began running around the console trying to do everything on his own.
You came up beside him and flipped a switch, turning off the brakes.
“You really shouldn’t leave your brakes on” You teased, flipping a few more switches and inputting a few things into the computer to help.
“Where did you get this thing anyways? A type-40 like this should be in a museum” You mention and he smirked.
Hello lovelys! This is an old draft I found in the depths of my computer files. Honestly forgot writing it.
As always, feedback is heavily appreciated as I love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
Warnings: Angst (happy ending), and mentions of blood.
Enjoy- A
Time. It’s a funny thing really.
It all seems relative. if you're standing there, in your room somewhere on earth, there’s someone on the other side of the planet who may be doing the exact same thing but at a different time.
You’d never really been a fan of clock changes, they messed your schedule up.
The only time this was exempted, was when it gave you an extra hour of sleep.
You loved having extra time to sleep.
But now, as you lay blood sodden on the hard cobblestone walk, clothing draped in a sheer blanket of crimson, you wished you’d have more time for a different reason.
You knew she was busy, your space girl, and you knew if she found out you’d tried to send the aliens off on your own, she’d have a proper tantrum.
Laying helplessly in your own puddle of decorable pain really made you think about your life.
Where you went right, and of course where you went wrong.
One of those times being when you’d sent your starlight away.
It had been after an especially rough trip, where you had made the unrightable decision to risk your life to save a small alien child who was stuck under fallen debris.
Your space girl had been truly angry at you.
And you refused to hear it.
“And what? I was supposed to leave that child to die alone?! Without their parents!?!” Your face burned from the anger that raged within.
“You could have gotten yourself killed.” Your star leaned against the control panel of her ship breathing heavily.
“COULD. I COULD have. But I didn’t. And I saved them.” You looked to her, silently awaiting her response.
“I don’t care. I refuse to lose you. I can’t be alone again.”
You laughed sarcastically.
“Oh so that’s why. Ah, I see.” You looked at her, eyes raging with the fire of a thousand flames.
“It’s your own selfishness. You would let a child die, so you don’t have to feel pain?!”
Her head spun towards you.
“Dont. You. Dare. I have seen stars burn from my hands, civilizations fall under MY decisions, and here you are. Trying to tell me what I know. You haven’t seen the worst of it.” She leaned back, closing her eyes.
“How dare you.” Your voice low in hurt and unbelieving anger.
“How dare you speak to me like I wasn’t there, watching as my home and my family BURNED. Watching my loved ones crumble, being tossed in a ship as I watched my parents die, landing on a planet thousands of lightyears away, having no idea where I was and being forced to claw tooth and nail to make anything of myself. So don’t you DARE. Sit there and tell me how hard your life is,” you walked up to her and stared into her deep hazel eyes, “when I’ve seen it all too.” You let out a gust of air in defeat and felt a tear slide down your cheek, betraying your anger. You took a shallow breath before you turned and walked down the long hallways of the TARDIS.
You heard her trying to follow, before the TARDIS led her astray, letting you walk to your room in peace.
You sat down on your bed and whimpered lightly, trying to withhold the emotions that threatened to destroy you. You heard soft music being to play, and the lights dimmed as the TARDIS projected your favorite galaxy onto the ceiling.
"Thanks lovely.” She hummed in response and you leaned back to place your hand against the wall.
She hummed again and you smiled in return, laying back down against the bed frame and looking to the stars above you.
You weren’t sure how long you’d been sleeping, but you were suddenly jolted awaked by your room door being slammed open.
“I think you should go.” You squinted your eyes to see your star in the door way, her face blotchy and her clothes wrinkled.
“What-?” You said barely above a whisper.
“I think-“ her voice broke, “I think you should go. For a little while. Just so we can have some time….apart.”
You felt your soul cry at her words, but you didn’t say anything, you couldn’t.
So, you stood, grabbing your phone from your bedside table and silently walked out the door past her.
As you walked towards the console room, the TARDIS began beeping and humming loudly, seemingly very upset at the sight of you leaving. Yet, she didn’t stop you. She respected you enough to not interfere. You walked into the console room and to the door, opening it you saw you were in your flat, just as you had left it. You turned and looked up to the ceiling of the TARDIS.
“I know my beauty, but you have to.” You turned to the door and touched it lightly.
“Just.. make sure she comes back when she needs to, okay?” The console lit up and you could hear a small hum in acknowledgement.
You walked out fully, and closed the door behind you.
“Now go, and keep my star girl safe.” You pressed your head against the doors before stepping back as you watched the TARDIS phase from view. She was doing what you had asked her to.
Now, as your vision blurred, you prayed that wherever she was, that she was keeping your star safe, just like she promised she would.
You began to feel yourself drift.
This was it.
You were on your last regeneration and there was nothing to be done.
You looked up at the bright blue sky above you and ignored the hurried footsteps that were quickly approaching.
Whatever they planned on doing, they really couldn’t do much worse.
Your thoughts were interrupted as a blonde woman came into view, you could faintly hear her yelling for you to keep breathing, just stay awake.
You wanted to, you really did, but it was so tempting to let yourself sink into the welcoming darkness.
Distantly, you felt yourself being lifted and carried somewhere.
You could hear a heartbeat, no, two.
But that meant, this was your star?
Why would she have come back after telling you to go?
You must be hallucinating. Yeah, that was it.
When you opened your eyes again, you saw a soft golden light pass by quickly and a loud humming.
Oh, it was the TARDIS.
Even in this state, you could sense her panic as you were very quickly set on a bed and told multiple things, none of which you processed.
Something was injected into your arm, and the voice became clearer.
It was your star…crying?
No, begging.
Maybe both.
“Please….just…hang on my love…please…I can’t be alone again… I'm so so sorry please i'll do anything for you, anything.” You felt her lift the crimson sheet of blood off you and begin tending to your wounds.
Your eyes hurt. A lot. As you struggled to open them in the blinding white lights of the room you were in.
A faint beeping sound was heard along with light breathing. You turned your head to see your star, there, sleeping haphazardly in some type of office chair.
You took this moment to study her appearance.
Her jacket was discarded across the room, and her suspenders hung by her sides. Her shirt was ruffled and untucked, and her pants were wrinkled.
Her face was covered in deep lines of emotion, even in sleep you could tell they’d been there for a long time.
You took in a deep breath as you tried to sit up, whimpering as you felt a sharp pain shoot through your abdomen.
Your star shot up from her chair immediately, almost falling on her face as she rushed to you.
“Oh, nonono. You have to stay my love. You need to heal.”
As she spoke you noticed the look she held, it was one of undying love, and of jagged fear.
She began frantically looking you over, making sure you were okay.
“Hey, hey..” You grabbed her hand as she ran it over your bandages, her head turned and you saw the exhaustion clear on her face.
“I’m fine." You offered her a small smile as proof. "My space girl.. always worrying.”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Can you blame me? I mean look at you, your-“
You shushed her.
“I’m alive? Yeah, I am.”
She looked to you and smiled.
You frowned, a sudden thought invading your mind.
“Have you slept?”
She seemed to contemplate this for a moment before shaking her head.
“Can we go to my room? Not to sound ungrateful, but this bed is doing nothing to help my back pain.”
She scoffed.
“You and your backpain.”
You swatted at her lightly.
“Hey! It’s not like I can do anything about that.” You frowned.
“Alright, fine. We can go to your room. I’m gonna carry you, okay?” She looked to you for approval.
You did your best salute, “Yes mamm.”
She shook her head with a smile before very carefully lifting you into her arms and heading out of the room.
You reached up and wrapped your arm around her neck, ignoring the searing pain this caused.
You watched her as she walked, her blonde hair caressing her face as she focused straight ahead, focused on getting you there as comfortably and safely as possible.
You let your eyes fall closed, as the rocking of her steps caressed you to sleep.
Decided to write this using one of my favorite songs. I hope you love it as much as I do. <3 -A
You act like you were just born tonight
Face down in a memory but feeling all right
So, who does your past belong to today?
Baby, you don't say nothing when you're feeling this way.
The Doctor stood in silence once again, as he always did around this time.
It took everything in you not to walk over and beg him to tell you where his minds eye had taken him, what it was that made him so somber so suddenly.
But you knew it wasn’t your place to ask.
Sure you had known him for a few decades now, but that didn’t mean he was obliged to tell you everything.
Instead you watched as he stared downwards, mindlessly fiddling with a spinning component of the Tardis console.
You sometimes wondered if he felt like he was drowning, facedown in a memory, struggling to get out.
Still, you stood. Watching silently, until he let in a loud sigh and turned to wonder down the Tardis hallways.
Girls in the bars thinking who is this guy?
But they don't think nothing when they're telling you lies.
You look so careless when they're shooting that bull.
Don't you know heartaches are heroes when their pockets are full?
You sat at the bar, sipping an alien cocktail.
Watching across the room, you saw the Doctor, oh sweet, sweet innocent doctor, playing a game of pool with some scantily dressed alien women.
You watched as they made overly exaggerated moves to only touch the doctors chest, or his hand, or arm, or-
You watched as one women roughly tugged on his arm, causing him to miss the shot he had lined up. He turned to face her as she began to bat her eyelashes and speak softly. His eyes widened, whatever she told him must have been quite interesting. She led him to a small sofa, lightly pushing him to sit as she sat VERY, closely beside him. Her hand resting on his thigh suggestively. He, of course, noticed none of this. Too intrigued by whatever apparent lies she was feeding him.
He suddenly leant back, and laughed loudly. Placing a hand to her shoulder in a friendly manner. You felt a sting in your hearts. Why couldn’t that be you?
And everybody's talking but you don't hear a thing
You're still uptown on your downhill swing
The boulevard's empty, why don't you come around?
Baby, what is so great about sleeping downtown?
You stood dressed in pompous victorian fashioned clothing, watching the people scurry to and fro. You looked around, trying to find the doctor in the large crowd of bustling people.
Holding your drink closely, you began to push through the large obnoxious crowd looking for any sign of your Doctor.
Across the grand ballroom, you saw him standing, talking with the heiress. One of his hands shoved in his suit pocket, seemly searching for something. You watched as he pulled out a small trinket of some sort, showing it off proudly, as the small crowd around him stood and watched in awe. You remembered when he used to be that excited to show you something, telling you to wait as he frantically searched for the item, before proudly showing it to you. Eyes full of what you thought to be love, you now considered that notion foolish.
Many hours after the party had concluded, the bad guy aliens stopped, and the band headed home, you walked out alone to the Tardis. She had parked herself by an old bookstore, a few blocks from the grand ballroom. You solemnly strolled down the empty cobblestone streets, hearing nothing other than the quiet clicking of your shoes.
The doctor had wanted to stay to speak with a few guests, of course you had said it was fine. But now, as you walked alone, down foggy silent streets, your dress torn and in some places blood decored, you almost wished you had spoken your distain.
You remember when he used to be so worried about you, fussing over even the smallest paper cut. Maybe it was selfish, but you just wanted to feel that love you thought you once had.
As you approached the Tardis, your hand reaching for the door, you heard her quiet murmur of concern.
“Don’t worry about me. I'll be okay.”
There's plenty of dives to be someone you're not
Just say you're looking for something you might have forgot
He stood by the two flight captains, his hands racing across the control keys.
You stood across the room, watching quietly as he told stories of the many ships he had piloted, and how he considered himself to be quite experienced.
Your friend Captain Jack Harkness, walked in your direction.
Standing beside you he turned his eyes towards the doctor, before he spoke quietly.
“I know that look, what is it?”
You shook your head, donning a small smile.
“Nothing J. Im fine.”
He looked down, his expression going unnoticed to your distant eyes.
“Now you and I both know thats not true. You have to say something. If you don't, the issue might never be resolved.”
You turned to look at him, only to see he was gone.
Don't bother calling to say you're leaving alone
'Cause there's a fool on every corner when you're trying to get home
You couldn’t do it anymore. You couldn’t sit and watch him laugh and talk to all those women. You knew he was just being friendly, but you thought after your conversation he’d understand.
You had taken Jack's advice, and told the Doctor how you felt. That you felt alone and neglected. He had frowned and pulled you into a hug, apologizing and wanting to make it up to you.
He had taken you to the planet of love.
Ironic.
You knew he meant well, and you did love the pink and purple clouds.
Not to mention, the pink tinted rays of sun that coated the bright pastel world below.
But as you watched the women who were native to this planet, their hair flowing down past their ankles effortlessly, their dresses flowing gracefully, despite there being no wind near, and their glowing complexion and bright eyes, you felt inferior.
Sure, timelord women held a beauty of their own, but having possessed this for many years, it felt small and unimportant to these ethereal women.
Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache
See what else your old heart can take.
He stood, regret cascading from him in waterfalls as he read the note you had left.
After speaking to the native women of the planet, he had the perfect first date idea, that is, if you shared his feelings.
But now, it was all deemed pointless.
Looking down once more at the already tear stained page, he realized just how foolish he had been.
So determined he was, to be as impressive and as desirable as he could, it had only ruined it all.
You had left nothing but a note, stuck to the console with a small patch of tape.
Explaining that you just couldn’t stay. Seeing him with other women made you realize just how stupid your hope of your feelings returned were. You knew he deserved better than what you could offer, and you couldn’t bare the thought of holding him back from what he was seeking.
He of course, knew it all was in vain. He had loved and adored you since he’d first seen you, wanting nothing more than to call you his. But his childish fear had let him lose you.
A sudden determination set across his features as he threw the paper to the ground, and began running around the console. Flipping switches and turning knobs.
He was going to get you back, and he was going to tell you everything he hadn’t before.
