@timelxrd-victorious has found a flower in the vortex
There was a flash — quick as lightning, brighter than the sun. She heard a roar, as the whole of the universe seemed to be ripped out from underneath her, her body propelled suddenly forward. Then came the familiar loud crack, as the wind and energy dissipated, the tear in time and space snapping shut behind her. And then she was falling.
When she hit the ground, she was surprised to find it wet. She let out a sound, half surprised yelp, half shrieking laugh of delight as the rain — when had she last been in London during the rain? It never seemed to rain in Pete’s World — pelted her. Within moments she was soaked, staggering back to her feet and scooping up her dimensional canon as she looked around.
And then she saw it. A big, impossibly blue police box, parked unobtrusively in the mouth of an alley on the other side of the street.
For a moment, her heart stopped.
And then she was running, sprinting toward the TARDIS — only to come skidding to a halt when she realized the ship’s windows were dark. But he was here. Close. He had to be.
She spied the partially open door to what looked like some sort of posh office or lab facility next to where the TARDIS had landed. There. It had to be. Without thinking, Rose darted inside, heading straight for the stairwell. Places like these almost never had eyes on the stairs — but if The Doctor was here, would he have gone up to the offices for information? Or down to the basement for clues?
She started down toward the basement. She could work her way up. Worst case scenario- but she couldn’t bear thinking of that. Preferred worst case, they’d just meet in the middle.
“Doctor? Doctor, where are you?!”
