I did attempt some time ago for Elitsa, but it turned out more like a development drawing, in the sense that I found how she looks and feels. But my aim was a moment from the book, when she combs her hair.. and I did tons of sketches, all of them so bad :D
It lingered in my head for awhile but I think I finally have what I was looking for!
I have a quote from the book on the drawing that describes the moment, but it is in Bulgarian! And I totally don't do justice to the novel with my translation but I tried to:
"We came out on the meadow in front if the watermill and we saw Elitsa, standing on the marble stone right from the door, combing her hair with a bone comb. Because when Elitsa unbraided her hair, it was so long that it would drag on the ground so she had to step high enough to be able to brush it." From the Bulgarian novel "Time of Violence" by Anton Donchev
I don't know why I got so obsessed with her!
