FOR: DETECTIVES / INVESTIGATORS / EX-SOLDIERS WHEN: BETWEEN TIMESTAMPS 8 & 9
She’d gone to read in the library again, now that she’d found her Kindle again. A bit of personal time before she’d get ready for dinner. But as she sat down at her favourite easy chair her cane slipped from where she’d leaned it and and clattered to the floor between the chair and the side table. When Juliet leans down to try to tug it out she hears— and feels— something drag. Something metal, and something heavy.
With a groan, she kneels, properly extricating her cane from where it had fallen, and using the handle to coax whatever mysterious item out as well. A little squeak leaves her lips when she sees what it is. A REVOLVER. A (dusty) beautiful, shiny, ornate, shiny, six-chamber revolver. Juliet looks around the expansive room, suddenly wishing to not to be alone in this terribly odd discovery. She glances back at the chair, and grabs a cover of the arm of it, carefully picking up the gun by its barrel and checking to see if it’s loaded.
Juliet gets herself standing again, holding the revolver somewhat awkwardly in her left hand while she gets herself oriented with her cane. She’d need to find someone properly qualified to handle this, at least make sure to unload it. And then have Artjom informed. Surely a weapon like this must be part of a collection— but if that was the case, why on earth was it stuck under an easy chair in the library? Juliet holds it with a good understanding of firearms— pointed down and away from her or anyone who may come upon her, until she finds one of the detectives she’s seen staying here.
