Hey, I just watched the latest Skamfr clip and I’m not sure if one of the sentences got lost in translation. When Lucas is explaining the story of Eliott and Idris the english translation is made as ‘he got high and tried to kiss him’. Was just wondering if there’s a distinction in the original French between ‘high’ off weed or manic and if so, which one does Lucas mean?
Hello! Oh I hadn’t thought it might be interpreted that way when I made my gifset, maybe I should switch “high” for something else to avoid confusion. Lucas says Eliott was “défoncé” which means high/stoned/wasted and clearly refers to weed, or alcohol maybe, but you wouldn’t say that about a manic episode, no!
