Timgad
Around 75 years ago at the ruins of Timgad, the rampage of a gargantuan Iron Treads was cut short by a heroic married couple. Though the day was saved, one had to wonder where this mysterious beast came from.
Colonia Marciana Traiana Thamugadi,
Also known as Timgad, is a Roman city in present-day Algeria. Founded by Emperor Trajan around 100 AD, it was originally a military colony for Roman veterans.
The city is celebrated as an exceptional example of Roman urban planning due to its well-preserved orthogonal (grid) layout.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982, it is sometimes called the "African Pompeii".
