Mother Dove is the closest thing she has as a parent and she is not dead, so normally no. In the human verses yes they are.

You did it to keep them safe. They wouldn’t be hurt so long as you followed their orders. They trained you just enough to finish the job, but not enough to survive. It was surprising to all parties involved when you did. They decided that they didn’t want you to stop. Not for a very long time. They kept training you, giving you more skills to use. You were unfortunately good at it. It killed you every time you did it, but you had to continue, you had no power to make it stop. Not without hurting them. Sometimes you were able to avoid it. When your job was an innocent. You were able to help them escape, to hide away, but if they ever knew, you, them, and the ones you were protecting would all die.

It was time for another job. They said this would would be more difficult then usual. You knew they meant physically, there was no way that they would care for your emotional or mental health. You were just a tool, A tool used to kill.

The tears were already falling from your eyes as you walked up behind them. You had a poisoned needle this time. Just a prick was all it would take.to be introduced into the blood stream. You wished they let you do it like this every time, let it be painless. They wouldn’t let you. They liked it when you used knifes and guns and painful things.

You were almost there; just a few more steps and it would be done. You shut your eyes and steeled your stomach. This was always the worst part.

You never wanted to be a star. You didn’t want to be on stage. You much preferred staying where you were. Behind the scenes, unnoticed, helping. Sometimes you listened in on the practices, singing the songs and dancing alone at home. You were never actually good at it, but it was fun. Sometimes you did it while you were working, as you prepared for the next show, when you were sure nobody could hear you.

There was going to be a new musical in the theater, that meant new singer/actors and new stage hands. You hoped they were nice, the last ones were just plain rude. You got there early, like you usually did, and began to work, checking everything so that no matter what was used, there would be as few problems as possible. You were checking the stage lights when the first person from the new musical finally wandered into the theater. You smiled and made your way over to where they were, intent on greeting them.
