And because it’s much simpler for his dinner plans if his guest isn’t here in regards to some of the jobs Magnus has taken recently, that may or may not have been on the level about their legality. 

(As long as they’re not inflicting true harm on someone, he doesn’t really care what mundanes do, so long as he gets paid.)

She always seemed to run into him when she was out trying to keep herself from being an antisocial vampire. Then again, she had a bad habit of frequenting the same spots every time.  ❝ Hey, long time an' all that. ❞

               the maiden is under influence when her hearty laugh emits with a snort; several glasses already put down and a new pitcher arrives to the bar table they share. still surprisingly coherent to keep her conversation going.

               ‘ jus-- just so you know. . . i almost choked on that last sip. ‘ the result of her almost choking on her ale inflicts a hiccup, forcing a burp that cracks her up again. ‘ oow---- that hurt. ‘ she says between laughs, gasping for air whilst shoving a bowl of sliced lemons toward her friend.

               ‘ okay--okay. . . this game. . . you have to fit and eat as many of these lllemon slices in your mouth as you can. you make a face, you take a shot. if you don’t make a face iii take it. ‘ she’s pointing and talking all silly with her gestures, and when tim’s ready a drum roll starts beating down on table.
