Fangirl Rhythm catches up with Chicago’s very own 7 Minutes In Heaven about their upcoming EP, "Symmetry"…
Fangirl Rhythm recently had the opportunity to catch up with Chicago’s very own 7 Minutes In Heaven about their upcoming EP, "Symmetry"…
What was the inspiration for your latest EP, "Symmetry"?
Our everyday lives leading up to the record, such as events from the past year and reflections on the road, as well as at home, and the retelling of stories. - Alex
What is the meaning behind your title track?
The idea that having a closed mind and not allowing yourself to grow and face these obstacles, in order to reach your future goals, even if it means changing yourself and not fitting into someone else's ideals, wants, image, etc. - Alex
What is your favorite song off of the "Symmetry" EP and why?
Collectively, the underdog of the EP and our favorite would be "Wishing Well," because it's the polar opposite of most tracks and touches on subjects we normally don't get to share and put forward. -Justin, all.
Would you change anything about the EP? If so, what would it be?
Featuring Set It Off on the whole record. Lol jk. Love y'all. But please, Cody and Dan ;)
How does the "Symmetry" EP differ from your previous EPs?
It’s the next chapter in the band's evolution, it’s a more mature look at where we've gotten and where we want to go. - Alex
What was your favorite part about writing this EP? Why?
The demo process - it was way more internal and it was a huge learning process in the preproduction.
What was the hardest part of writing this EP and why?
Before recording, there were long periods of time in which the band was not together, more so, in the same state, so being able to share initial ideas was a struggle at times - Alex
How would you describe the EP in one word?
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious- Timmy
How do you think your fans will respond to the EP?
With violence… Jk, we've already released two songs that have had a great response and buzz on social media. Thank you to everyone who has already checked it out! – Alex
Besides the EP and tour, what's next for 7 Minutes In Heaven?
Take over the world - Justin
So, be sure to check out Symmetry when it comes out September 15th! I promise you won't regret it...
Thanks for reading,
Gina of Fangirl Rhythm
