Okay so the pipeline this time seemed to have ended up being;

I thought I was safe because I was like OMG!! CB is like the most popular character in stex! Then I got TOO into CB.. now I’m also obsessed with a ghost that NO ONE KNOWS RAAAAAAA

Children’s television dramas in the UK in the 1970′s and 80′s had a breadth and variety that matched television for adults. No show illustrates this better then ‘Rentaghost’ (UK, BBC 9 seasons 1976-84) where through the lens of children’s television the troubling subject of seasonal employment, and active unemployment could be laced with humour. Who knows? Maybe watching it as teenager was meant to prepare teenagers for the world of poor training and long term unemployment. Michael Staniforth (1942-87) played the character of  mischievous medieval jester Timothy Claypole. Of course I watched it and got my own subliminal/closeted kicks from seeing his goatee every week. The kicker is that I did not know either that he was openly gay, and that was part of the energy he gave to the performance on screen, or that he died in the A.I.D.S. pandemic and presumably the show stopped when he was too ill to drive it forward.
