I recently found this gem on eBay!!! While we already had this photo, this is a much higher quality copy, and I'm very happy to have it in my collection.
The photographer and year are unknown, however it's obviously from late in Rentaghost's run. Also unsure who signed it. [🌽]
We now have a YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!! It will be run by me, [🌽], and I'll be posting all sorts of Michael Related content on there. As of making this post there's only one video— but there's more to come ^_^
The eventual plan is to have any recordings of his theatratrical productions, any films, and (if copyright law allows it), as much of the Rentaghost series as possible. Any support is appreciated, check it out here!

I know that April isn't AIDs awareness month, but I had the idea to make this edit in memory of those cast members that we know of who have lost their lives due to negligence and fear mongering. in a political climate like we have currently, we have to speak up on this. obvious content warning for sensitive imagery and homophobic remarks in the newspaper clippings shown.
all photos belong either to the staniforth archive, belles domain and the starlight express wiki, and the chess the musical archive.
Hello!! The dude posting this is [🌽], I'm the one who got the 37 photos from the Bishopsgate Institute and I'd like to clarify a few things:
1: There were only five images with Michael, all of which I have posted!
2: The rest I'm pretty sure we are not allowed to share, but like [👻] said most are just very similar to other shots we have on the wiki.
3: Most importantly, the Bishopsgate Institute is 18+ and, to my knowledge, you need to be signed up with them to email. I emailed and they didn't respond. I sent my dad there, he signed up, and once he emailed they responded same day. PLEASE don't go in there if you're under 18 and please don't clog their inbox.
If you can, please support the library as they are a massive archive of queer history— something very important these days.
In response to this ask, [👻] found the archive itself online and told me about it. I'm based far closer to London than him, so we decided that I would go ask about the images. I ended up going not realising it was 18+ (I'm not yet an adult.. I did check the website and couldn't find anything about it being 18+. But it is. Oh well.) They told me I could send an email but I wasn't allowed to be there, so I promptly left and sent the email.
After around a month there still wasn't a response, so I sent my dad to the library to get the photos for me, which he successfully did!! A few days after, they very kindly emailed us three Michael photos free of charge and gave permission to post. The day after, we paid for the rest and got access to all 37 files. We were given permission to post the photos of Michael, however I am unsure about the rest, so (for now) they remain in a dusty Google Drive.
About the rest of the photos: there were quite a few of AC/DC and the freightfam, though the majority is basically just different angles of what's already on the wiki. Like [👻] said, there were a few silly pics of Tom Jobe as Bobo— I plan to do some quick little sketches to sorta show what the images are without breaking the copyright of actually posting them. In one of them he's doing the splits!!
📸: Robert Workman
Each photo cost us around £1, very much worth it!!
Another few breathtaking shots from Robert Workman, featuring Michael as C.B and Frances as Dinah.
All three of these photos are from angles never before seen: MASSIVE DAY FOR C.B FANS!!! I do wonder if C.B genuinely cared for Dinah, or if he was just manipulating her?
As with the last post, a huge thanks to both the Bishopsgate Institute and Robert Workman for giving me access to these photos. If you repost these pictures I urge you to credit the photographer— high quality pictures from this era of StEx are practically unheard of, so please do the bare minimum and give him the credits he deserves! [ — 🌽 ]
Here are some gorgeous, newly uncovered photos of Michael as C.B!!
But more importantly, a massive thanks to the Bishopsgate Institute for giving us access to these pictures and to the wonderful Robert Workman for being gracious enough to let us share these with the world. I was told that I could share these as long as there's credit, so I please ask if you repost these images to add credit if possible. It's a HUGE privilege that we got these pictures, so respect the photographers wishes please!! [ — 🌽 ]
