Tambry cringed, curling up as far back on the couch as she could without upsetting the bowl of popcorn on her lap. She knew she sounded like an absolute idiot, but there was only so much she could say without giving it all away at the start. In all honesty, she was probably making too big of a deal out of nothing. Still, it wasn’t easy trying to get over her odd need for love and attention to bring up a subject that may or may not infuriate the boy she’d grown fond of in recent months.

“I just want to know if you’ll still like me if I’m not as much of a nerd as I act. I mean, you’re... you’re not going to get mad at me and say I’m a fake geek girl, right?” She turned away, setting the popcorn down on the coffee table before leaning back and resting her hands in her lap. “Because I like you, man, and I don’t want to have to punch you in the face for being a dick.”
