Title: First Taste (Niiname-Sai) Author: Timothy Wren Fandom: Naruto Relationship: Uzumaki Naruto/Uchiha Sasuke, background Yamanaka Ino/Haruno Sakura Challenge: Just Write's 'Holiday Bingo' prompt: Hidden, holiday: Niiname-Sai (festival of the first taste) Genre: Anime, Romance Warnings: I used a very light version of Niiname-Sai on account of they're not really in Japan; so it's not the holiday proper, just a light homage at best. Tsunade's canon alcoholism (referenced), and they're ANBU in this. Reference to Kurama as a god. Word Count: 1,813 (complete) Summary: “We are a hidden village.” Sasuke said with a kind of helpless disgust.

any plans to write more on ao3?

In general? Yes, of course. Ao3 is my primary posting site and I have plenty of WIPs over there as well. 

I do have my website, which I’m proud of (look y’all I bought the .com and everything), where I’m showcasing some of my favorite works and hopefully engaging a little more as a writer with the community, but I will still be posting to Ao3.

Currently, I’m trying not to post any WIPs until they’re complete. Some authors I really admire wait until they’re completely done with something before posting, and I’m trying it out. So far it’s helped me stay interested in a project longer; there’s less pressure, among other things.

At the moment I have several WIPs that aren’t posted anywhere: 19,839 words of a The Gamer!Midoriya Izuku fic

5,855 words of Charasuke/Sasuke

3,780 of completed HP one shot that I’m not sure I’ll post anywhere because it’s a little niche and makes promises for a bigger story I don’t intend to write 

1,288 of a smaller crossover I plan to be a lot longer, 

And probably a lot of other ideas that haven’t gotten super far yet, if I’m not forgetting anything big. Lately I’ve been, you know, working 40 hours + weeks for my dayjob and being stressed af about work, exams that keep coming up for my training (there’s an annual one tomorrow that I’m stress baking about, tonight), and not having a lot of time to write. However! Everything that I write will be on ao3.

The question surprised me, I’ll be honest. I’ve never mentioned leaving ao3 and I never would. To be absolutely frank about it, you’d have to pry me out of ao3 kicking and screaming. I’m never leaving. The html will be dust and I’ll still be there, sifting through the ashes, spending every minute of my free time on the domain.

Aside from the very real way I support everything ao3 does as an institution and an archive, and how I think OTW is the best thing fandom has ever done for itself, personally I love the site and would never willingly stop using it as my primary source of fanfiction.

Evil Author Day

Not to blatantly try to Pspspspspsps people over to my site some more, but Evil Author Day is approaching! February 15th! I’m excited because this is the first year I’m planning to participate

Getting to see a sneak peak into the WIP folder of some of my favorite authors is thee treat I look forward to every year. I greedily go through them like coins in a little gold sachet, nuggets of really amazing stuff like having a particularly forbidden chocolate bar.

I’m still finalizing what I want to use for my submissions, but they will be hosted on a page on my website! Keep an eye out, and consider visiting Jilly’s site for the list of links to all the shared posts for the last six or seven years.
