I flipping love RadioLab so much. I've been listening to the Podcast from the beginning for a few months now and I just got to the ones in 2011.
I love it too! Little radio programs that encapsulate wonder make me ridiculously happy. I went on a binge at the beginning of the year where I listened to all of the RadioLab and This American Life on my drives around town. Now I'm going back and catching up on the last six months of both of them.

Some theories came out a while ago that butterflies are actually a different species that live inside the caterpillar and it takes over in the cocoon. It was disproven though because the butterfly retained the caterpillars memories. They did tests.
Yeah, they talked about that a bit in the episode. They did an experiment where they introduced caterpillars to a smell and then shocked them every time they smelled it so that they came to hate it. Then when the butterflies were fully formed they hated it too.
I quite like the theory that it's a whole different species, even though it's wrong. Makes me think about instances in which that could happen and then want to write short stories around them.

Wait you didn't know about that? We talked about that in 4th or 5th grade and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Nope! It's never come up. I think in fourth grade we were too busy building rockets. I suppose there's no excuse for fifth grade, but this is where we are now.
Also, I think I'm going to be posting more personal photos. I feel like I've been inactive, kind of losing myself, and I want to put myself out there more just to know that I exist. If that makes any sense. Basically, less introvert, more selfies - so sorry-not-sorry in advance.
