The Native Americans believe that living creatures and nonliving creatures alike have a spirit, and that tells us so much about their deep respect for everything in this world. In an ideal world, all humans, regardless of culture, should have that same kind of respect for life. Each life, whether that of a human or that of an animal, is valuable, and that’s not necessarily because of the economic value they hold.
