My Dearest Cat Pinkeltje by Katinka Simonse, aka TINKEBELL., 2004.
TINKEBELL. killed her own cat and turned it into a handbag. The project aims to show people the hypocrisy of animal consumption and leather production and to provoke by exemplifying the blind spots of modern society.
In her own words she "confronts a public that revels in being indignant about everything that has nothing to do with them, but at the same time is very apologetic about their own actions."
