Set 65/100 - Tinkerbelles @ El Cortez
imagine if f(x)’s toy was remixed into a pop song to be the title track for pink tape - in short this is a jam
whatever prelude is a prelude to, i'm ready for it.
it's like dsp remembered that they produced kara, queens of jams. that said, it is dsp, so who knows where this could go. they're doing great things with kard too...did they get new management or something?
and 'time machine' is the epic song j-idols wish they could make. the ending theme to a coming of age story. it manages to sound pretty yet powerful. also a title track contender
...then i saw a song rec for 'just as we are' from the prelude mini-album. the commenter listed other song recs that i loved (clc's liar and meow meow, rv's body talk, subin's strawberry), so i trusted them. it paid off. 'just as you are,' currently my favorite girl group song of 2017, is basically the cute song i didn't know i was waiting for. it's got a house dance beat that sounds mature enough for a dance club, but the chorus goes into j-idol music territory (akb wishes they had a song this good). think if ldn noise got to make a song for 2008 snsd. i'm loving the increase of edm elements in kpop overall, and this is a perfect execution of edm in the cute pop genre. a gg song hasn't hit me this hard since tt. i can't get tired of it, and i want more of these types of songs from april.
