Another attempt to convey his affection for them has been thwarted by them swallowing up his words with a kiss that leaves him breathless and dizzy. It’s an effective method as Gage separates their mouths with a happy hum and a smile playing on his lips. Whatever they give him, he’s happy to receive. While some clarity in what they have would be appreciated to help quell that endless anxiety bubbling in his guts, Gage doesn’t push the issue. “So what are the plans for tonight?” he asks, leaving the decision up to them. “Do we want to order in and browse Netflix?” They rarely go out anymore, considering Gage still isn’t completely comfortable getting hot and heavy in public, and they always end up in the horizontal position whenever they are together. That’s their deal. They can be physically intimate, but emotional intimacy still escapes them.

They always tell themselves how humans are fragile ; breakable things to be used and how foolish they are for making bargains with the Fates. Lala has experienced enough tragedy in her life to know that. But the truth that almost no one knows is, all the Fates were human once. And she still remembers like it was yesterday how the three of them became one. How a single almost marriage sent everything she knew into flames — the slaughter of her house and how things have changed not only for her but for Castor and Jacks too.

Lala was never one to make bargains with humans. Curse them, maybe, but bargains were like gaining full control over their fates ( even if they didn’t mean to ). It was like the humans like to say : when you make a bargain with a Fate, your future changes. But not because they are Fate, they don’t have full control over the future. They only open different doors and the person could choose each one to open. But they would be forever connected with the Fate because of the bargain.

Lala feels bad for Evangeline. The girl didn’t deserve what was happening and what would probably come for her. “ I know. I’m sorry for it. ” What more she could say ? Probably no words of comfort would change the situation. “ I really don’t know what to say to you, except that you should stay away from him but I know that will be almost impossible. But also know that you are a friend to me, and I will be here. ”

They were in the middle of an argument ; it looked like that’s all they do. Arguing, arguing, and more arguing. Donatella once had a line of suitors who appeared in front of her with the snap of her fingers. They say that what comes easily also goes away easily and perhaps that is a curse for her. She never really cared about love ( such a feeling only served to destroy hearts ) but with him it was different. Donatella wanted so much to hold on to love, to hold on to Legend but things have to be complicated for her. With Legend’s hands on her face, Donatella’s anger almost passed instantly and she was about to say something when he kissed her first — a passionate kiss full of tenderness that she only felt with him and no one else. And Donatella kissed him back, arms around his neck, returning the kiss with the same love he knows she feels for him.
