The Fury: Fancy Machinery.

Dar nodded to Talon about the guitar practice, about to make a snappy comment when Jack joined them in his half naked get up. Well that was just taunting and unfair. "Hello se- er... Afternoon Captain. All hands accounted for now that Talon's here. Though I think Thoen and Mav are um... having a private moment. That or I haven’t seen them lately."
Talon gave a little wave to Jack, "Captain!" He said cheerily, "What role shall I have, hm? My many years of seafaring knowledge is at your disposal!" He glanced down at Az's book to look at what he was reading before he began to roam about the ship and look at it fully.
Azurick gave Jack an appreciative thumbs up. "Just let me know when you want me to climb up the rigging and do some looking!" He smiled happily and leaned back in his chair, returning to his book: 'Forgotten History, Volume 1'.
"Crow's Nest is a good place to start, lucky you that Mavas and I have placed a make-shift nest up there. Try not to fall asleep." Jack remarked in a softer tone. The ship was massive, the tucked in sails tinted soft green as if they captured something eerily pulsing within the fabric. The wood was slightly darkened, dancing with small runes here and there to help the ship all but breathe.
A hybrid of both mechanical and historical, there was an obvious detail to sating the idea of movement when the winds dared not attract through the sails. Enough room for live cargo and comfortable enough to hold ammo and crew, it was clearly a one of a kind. "You have two options Talon.... You can stay on the deck and help out, or you can join Mavas in the custom riggings." A finger pointed up towards the dangling harnesses, the same ones he and Mavas used to use.”
Tin cracked his neck as he listened to the chatter of the crew. He leaned against the railing of the ship folding his arms over his chest. "Hmm."
"Or..." Jack added on in thought. "If Az prefers the engine machinery..."
Talon rose a brow, looking up at the riggings, "Uh, what are those harnesses for? Furling and unfurling the sails? Or... I've not seen those things before."
Pondering in thought at the open positions, Jack continued to mumble to himself, noting that Azurick may not get enough sun if he had been put down with the engines.
Priorities.
Talon's question brought Jack's view from Tinthard to the other, slowly blinking. A hand reached up to lightly rub at the deep scar along his chest. "Until you get thrown around in a massive shit storm during heated Sea Battle, you don't realize how handy they are to swing from mast to mast and not fall. Faster movement, safer as well."
Azurick lowered the book a bit, ear twitching. "Engines? I thought this was a sailboat...where are the engines?" Perhaps he could split his time between the crows nest, and some good old fashioned monkey-wrenching.
"Below deck. There is an entire custom engine attached. I got the idea from The Salty Bitch, although ours is even faster." A shrug was given before Jack’s fingers wiggled in motion for the others to follow, heading towards the stairs to descend.
"...Do we have a chef? I can cook! Really well!" Talon nodded, then quickly moved to follow behind Jack. He wanted to see these engines, too! Though he really did miss the Twilight, he was already enjoying being back with his friends.
"Not currently, unless Zangen can." Jack replied wit a casual stride, his swagger a show of pride and head held high. Slipping through the ship, a door was soon opened to reveal the massive engine, surrounded by pulsing runes as if it was the heart of the Fury. "Runs on sun power from the runes but also a coal option for cloudy days or nights. I prefer sails open but sometimes you just need speed."
In another room, Mav hummed to himself in thought, frowning as he looked over the provisions and things purchased for the voyage. It was too late to really get more, but he made a little note on the list he had to speak to Darnath about what had been brought on board. At least he wasn't moving things this time, all the gunpowder was where it had been left for once.
Mavas, a well trained assassin, the First Mate.
"There's a lot of machines below deck. The fresh water distillery, the engines, the cloaking device... enough for all us to help tinker now and then, I promise. We can each pick our favorites to maintain." Darnath reassured Az. "Though I did imagine leaving the incendiaries to Tin. Zangen volunteered to cook and officially the doctor and I think he wanted to check over everyone of the crew for a baseline." He finally let the warlock go to sneak a hug from Talon too, "Did you bring your gun? You'll get more range to shoot if we hit combat up in the rigging."
Azurick closed his book, keeping a finger slipped between the pages to hold his spot as they all moved deeper into the ship. When Dar broke the hug, he lightly smacked his butt as he headed for Talon. And then he was inspecting machinery. "Should put a battering ram on the front of this thing." He muttered as he circled the large engine. The warlock shot the death knight a familiar look. "A checkup? What kind of checkup?" He waggled his eyebrows.
Talon gave Dar a hug in return then shrugged, "Or I'd end up getting stuck and be a sitting target dummy for something. I think both are good points, I do have my shadow magics to fall back on to hide myself between shots." He tapped his chin lightly before lightly butting his head against Dar's shoulder.
Jack stood before the engine, making no move for personal attention, which had been highly different than how he normally acted with the Warlock so close to him. Hands that had been resting behind his back stayed before he pivoted upon a heel and stepped out of the area. "There are a few personal cabins and then one giant flat area for the rest of the crew... I suggest if you want privacy, you snag one before it's too late."
"...Maybe, just hope we don’t ever have combat on board. Let Tin blow shit up out in the water before it gets too close if we have to. Either way, if you like the rigging cool, or you can stay on deck." He watched the captain strut around in command and smiled proud at Jack, even if he wasn't being lovey and shrugged, "I think I got enough rooms sectioned off for everyone considering Mav and Thoen are bunking together and I'll stash mine and Az's stuff in a room together just in case you want the captain’s quarters to yourself. Though, depending on the size of the dinos and how much equipment the faire staff brings, might have to squish a little. Other than that, think were good to go?"
"I'll pass on a cabin unless no one else wants one." The warlock smiled around the group before heading up the stairs and back towards the deck and his chair, where he could relax until the adventuring began!
