So in an effort to recall The Pitt’s season 2 premiere, I stumbled across the Entertainment Weekly spread. Most of it’s to be expected - Langdon is on a growth arch (yay!), Robby is allergic to therapy, and Dana is back (thank god) - but then I get to Mel. And Mel…

…

I’m sorry what?

When I tell you I gasped out loud I am not joking. Because it would be one thing if it was Dr. “totally under the legal weeks” Robby, or Dr. “I will kill a man” Santos, or even Dr. “prescription drugs who” Langdon. But Mel? Mel the autistic legend? Mel, the resident who performed a perfect crike on day one??? I genuinely do not understand.

My best guess is that Mel had an oversight with a pediatric patient due to stress and the child died, hence the lawsuit. But even then, I just can’t imagine her ever intentionally harming a patient, even if they deserved it.

I guess I’ll just have to wait for season 2 for answers (jerks 😒).

Tagging - Pitt Edition

You may have noticed that I never tag Mel as "Dr. King", and that's because, as an American, I literally cannot imagine anyone but Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when I hear it. Also, the idea of scrolling for Mel content and being slapped in the face with "I have a dream" is as hilarious as it is incorrect. We already have to compete with Brad Pitt in this fandom, we can't have thee Dr. King too.
