The sides were all seated in the living room, hanging out after breakfast as none of them had anything too important to do that day. The tv was turned to a random tv show, just providing background noise in the common area. They all had their respective spots; Logan on the edge of the couch, Patton in the middle (the supreme cuddle spot), Roman next to him, Virgil on the other end, Janus on a chair adjacent to the couch, and Remus laying on the floor. Their focus was all on the tv, mindlessly listening to it while their minds drifted. It was peaceful, until Remus spoke up.
“Did you know that a dead body inflates because of the gas and fluids?” he asked randomly. Patton immediately tensed up, letting out a small “oh no”.
“That is one of the reasons why bodies float after being drowned. The lungs always have air in them. No matter how hard you try to breathe out there will always be air in them. Therefore, you will always float in water, whether dead or alive,” Logan said nonchalantly. The others looked at him in various stages of horror and confusion, except for Remus of course. He was ecstatic. Logan furrowed his brows. “What?”
“Why do you know that-?” Patton asked quietly, eyes wide. Logan only looked more confused.
“It’s proper research. It’s my job to know these things Patton. I’m simply curious,” Logan stated. He really didn’t see how this was a big deal.
“Err...o-ok but...that sort of makes people uncomfortable, Logan. Maybe don’t...talk about that next time? Please?” Patton said, looking apprehensive.
“Fine.” Logan adjusted his glasses and stood up, walking out of the living room and to his bedroom. Usually, he would have stayed; shut his mouth and sat in silence. But not this time. He was tired of being ignored, called out, and unwanted by the others. So, he left. He left and he didn’t care that they looked at him confused or weirded out. He simply didn't care. Not anymore.

Remus noticed and looked around for a moment.
“I’m gonna go terrorize people, okay byeeeeeeee!~” He sang hastily, sinking out into Logan’s room.
“...Loganberry?” He called softly, vastly different than the tone he’d used around the others.
Logan looked up from where he was laying on his bed, having picked up a book and begun reading.
“Hey, Re. I’m sorry about breakfast, I didn’t mean to be too harsh. I just didn’t want anyone yelling at you, so I took the initiative.”
Remus’ eyes widened a bit as he quickly shook his hands and head. “No no no no! That’s fine! Fuck- you could step on me and I’d thank you! I wanted to talk about when Patton told you to not talk about inflating dead bodies??” He replied as fast as he could.
Logan blushed at Remus’ comment, “Oh- um yeah, that was…” He trailed off, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

“Look , if you don’t wanna, then we’re not gonna talk about it,” Remus said, sitting down next to Logan and putting an arm around him.
“I-not really,” Logan admitted. He leaned into Remus, snuggling into his side. “I just want to sit here with you if that's okay.”
“Of course,” Remus said, kissing Logan a bit more and messing with his hair. Logan smiled and kissed back. He opened his book again, the two of them reading and relaxing in silence.

Remus stopped crying and started making little purring noises.
"I love youuuuuuuuuuu," he said sleepily, eyes half closed. Logan froze up, sitting there in shock.
"You- you purr? Thats-" he cut himself off, finishing his thoughts quietly. "Fuck that's adorable."
Remus only grinned and nodded at him.
" Mhm! It's the animal part of being a dark side. Hey, if you were a dark side, you could purr too!" He said excitedly.
“That’s- actually very intriguing,” Logan remarked.
“Oh wait really? I was half-jokin’ but if you wanna be a dark side then you can...Just uh- what’ll Thommy think?” Remus asked, a bit unsure about Logan’s reaction.
The other simply scoffed. “Like he would care. Honestly, it might be an improvement,” He said, narrowing his eyes slightly.
“Logie, don't think that little of you. At least- I don’t think so. Not sure...But I’m like- 80% certain that Thomas DOES care! He’s our host, ain’t he?” Remus answered, his hands moving in wild gestures to emphasize his point.
"I know Thomas cares, I can see it but...it's not as much as it used to be. At least, I don't think so. From my observations, the last time a point of mine was listened to was your episode, approximately one year, six months, and seventeen days ago," he explained, a sad expression on his face. Remus grimaced.
"That's…way longer than I thought it was," Remus confessed.
"Precisely. I just...I wish there was a way to fix it," he said. He looked away, lowering his voice.
"To fix me."
“There’s nothing about you that needs fixing, Teach,” Remus said, giving Logan a little boop.
“Did you- did you just boop me?” Logan asked, a bit stunned.
“Yeah!”
“..I-” He couldn’t process this. Logan.exe has stopped working.
"Uh oh...did I break the Logie??" Remus said amused. He poked Logan a few times. "Earth to Loggaaaannnnn??"
Remus could have sworn he heard Microsoft error noises coming from the logical side.
"Huh-hmm?" He asked, dazed. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. "What happened?"
"I FIXED THE LOGIE! Well uh- I booped you, you asked about it, and then you broke for some reason," Remus explained, shrugging.
“Oh- um,” Logan stuttered nervously. He straightened his tie and fixed his glasses, “Yeah I guess I did...do that.”
Remus frowned, “But whyyy? Do you not like boops??”
“I do like ‘boops’. Quite a bit actually. I’m just not used to that kind of...physical affection.”
The other side squeaked, “Really? I’ll make you get used to it then!” He started to aggressively boop Logan.
Logan's face grew red and held back the urge to kiss Remus because he squeaked. He giggled at Remus.
"Okay, okay, I get it, I get it," he said between giggles. He covered his mouth with his hand slightly. Remus smiled.
"Hm...one last time!" He booped Logan once more. "Okay!"
Logan smiled, scrunching up his nose at the last boop.
"How about we go to my room? I mean we have been sitting in the dining room for quite some time now. I'm surprised no one's caught us yet," Logan suggested.
“Ooooookay!” Remus sang, smiling. “Oh! By the way, did you know that you look SO cute when you scrunch up your nose like that?” He added happily.
“Oh um- thanks,” Logan replied, blushing as the two made their way to his room. They both figured that it was better than Remus’.
