My eight year old asked to watch Warm Bodies today. Half way through it I heard this gem;
“I wish zombies were real so I could be their Queen, and rule them with an Iron Fist.”

Highlights from parenting the tiny krogan today: -watched her turn and run from the step like a feral cat instead of coming inside. Asked her sister what they did to her "nothing, she said she's free now." -asked her to at least dump the compost "I'm one with nature. I live here now. I don't have chores in nature." -she finally comes to get the compost bucket. There is mud on her face. Mud is nature's makeup mom. -she stomped around the yard, like some kind of feral child chasing birds and smelling rocks. -i asked her to come in and shower and she then growled and tried to chase me with a stick.
I told my 8 year old to put on pants because she needed to leave for guitar. "You can't tell me what to do." Long pause. "Not at this stage."
