TW: food-related prank and mild teasing/exasperated reactions
Summary: Pranking your boyfriend, Jeongin, by making him a miniature lunch.
You'd been out to dinner the night before, you had some close friends on a double date, when you couldn't help but notice Jeongin, your boyfriend, scarfing down a piece of bread all in one singular bite. He wasn't messy, just efficient like a vacuum with teeth.
You had an idea.
The next day, you decided to take him lunch while he was at work. You pulled out a box of mini food molds you were given as a gag gift during a gift exchange during Christmas the year before. It had just been collecting dust in your closet, but this was the perfect time to break it out.
You worked with steady precision, trying not to laugh as you made the entire miniature meal. A sandwich cut down to the size of a stamp. A baby carrot that was the size of your pinky nail. And for dessert, a cookie the size of a coin. You even came across a tiny paper bag in the kit. It was beautiful.
You weren't evil though, so you did pack him a real lunch, one that was his size....but it was hidden away in your bag.
When you showed up at his work building, using your guest key card to get in, you greeted the receptionists at the front desk and made your way to the elevator. You pressed the button to his floor and tried calming your nerves, too excited.
Once the doors opened, you practically skipped down to the room he was in, knocking as you opened the door. His face lit up immediately.
"I'm so happy you're here. I was starving, and my food always tastes better when I get to share it with you." He was too sweet...you almost felt bad.
You nodded, keeping a straight face and setting the tiny bag down in front of his keyboard. "I couldn't let you waste away."
He froze, staring down at it with a look that seemed like a mix between a smile and the beginning of a meltdown.
"...What is it?" His voice was neutral, careful not to hurt your feelings.
"You're lunch." You chirp, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Look, it's packed so nicely!"
He dumped the contents out onto the desk. His mouth moved slightly, but no sound came out.
"I'm not a doll...this is doll house food." He finally speaks.
You pretended to frown. "I thought it would be cute. Easy to eat!"
He looked between you and the pitiful lunch, picking up the sandwich with his fingertips.
"Cute." He breathes out, putting the tiny meal on his tongue and swallowing. Not chewing is needed.
You let a short laugh out, quickly placing your palm over your mouth. He just stared down at the remainder of his "lunch" in silence.
"That's it then." He finally breathes out, clearly disappointed but trying to hide it so as to not hurt your feelings.
"Was it yummy?" You hum.
He picked up the carrot, pinching it between his fingers and squinting his eyes at it. "You can barely tell anything is there."
"You'd better eat your vegetables. They're good for you!" You push on, almost beginning to wheeze.
Hesitanetly, while never breaking eye contact with you, he popped it into his mouth, barely chewing and swallowing it down.
"Delicious." He deadpans.
Lastly, he picked up the cookie, which was essentially just a chocolate chip. It was too late now; you were doubling over in laughter, lowering yourself onto the rug.
"This is a crumb." He shows you.
He watched you for a moment, breaking into a little grin and flicking the cookie at you, breaking into his own laughter when it bounced off your forehead. "That's what you get for doing this to me."
"And I'd do it again!" You giggle.
"I'm glad you had your fun...however, you do realize I'm still starving?" He pouts, making a dramatic scene of rubbing his stomach and groaning.
"I think you'll be okay." You laugh. "You had a sandwich and a carrot...and I'm sure I can find your cookie around here somewhere."
He side-eyed you and shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Just tell my family and the guys I loved them."
He then contiuned on to pretend to slowly pass on in his chair, tongue hanging out and all, peeping through his lashes at you.
"What a shame..." You sigh, opening your bag to get out his actual lunch. "I brought you some tteokbokki. I guess I'll find someone else to give it to."
His eyes shot open, and the container was snatched from your hands. "You're evil. Like, actually."
"I appreciate the effort of trying to eat your mini lunch." You laugh, handing him the chopsticks you'd brought for him to eat with.
"If I weren't completely in love with you, this would be unforgivable." He says with food stuffed into his mouth.
"Lucky me."
