A Tiny Nice Thing
Today I was able to put a paper I wrote (first author!) into a reference manager alongside the dozens of other papers I’ve collected for my research. An explicit reminder that I’ve now contributed to the greater body of scientific knowledge.
everytime I'm sad I send a couple of nice anon messages to people. I don't need to lie about anything, there are plenty of people you find interesting/skilled/pretty/funny or whatever on a day to day basis. it makes me feel better to think I brightened someone's day a little, and hopefully you know.....brightens their day a little?
anyway, it's a silly little thing but it works pretty well

I ordered a thing for a research project, but it arrived with an important piece disconnected. I managed to disassemble it, superglue the disconnected piece so it would work properly, and put it back together. Now it works perfectly!
Oh also the thing is this

There was a bird with a really pretty call sitting in the vines outside my office today. After a few minutes, another bird flew over, stopped for a sec, and then they flew away together.
Saw The Revenant on my xbmc player last night with the moms and we really liked it. ❤
