What if there's multiple tiny Odos? Once in awhile they come together to make big Odo but they prefer to be apart hidden thru out the station. Quark doesn't know there's more than one Odo tho and it's slowly driving him mad.

I have a question about your tiny odo stuff (which cheers me up p much every time I think of it) but can odo shift into bigger things? Or is he permanently stuck shifting into like those tiny cactuses when he wants to be a plant?

I think he can only turn into small things, or smaller versions of large things, which are then of course assumed to be real and definitely not facsimiles created by the station’s resident tiny shapeshifter. That incredibly small beige couch in the room where we, a group of criminals, are holding our secret meeting? That’s always been there. Think nothing of it.

(he could probably shift into something taller, but let’s assume if he did he’d have a limited amount of material to work with: he could be Regular Odo’s height, but he’d look like an agitated noodle and have a bit of trouble staying upright)

HOWEVER: i think an au where he can be any size he wants, and merely chooses to stay small (following some personal code of conduct that is never explained to anyone’s satisfaction) would be equally funny?

the important thing is that everyone is JUST as intimidated by him. especially quark.
