Rumors sprouting up around Cybertron when Ultra Magnus comes back to Cybertron with the Earth Team and the All Spark, but most bots are more curious about the tiny sparkling the Magnus was holding when they stepped out of the ship. Some bots even say the Magnus just went off-planet due to a small 'medical' mishap (then they would point to the tiny sparkling in the news pics)

It’s awfully funny how Ultra Magnus mysteriously disappears one day for a far away, previously unheard of planet only to come back with a sparkling in his arms. Sure, he brought back the AllSpark and Autobots everywhere are celebrating its return, but the news hasn’t overlooked that sparkling.

Where did it come from? Is it Ultra Magnus’? Who is the other parent? Where are they? Does the Magnus have a secret/scandalous consort? Botanica has been caught in the arms of Rattrap, so it’s not impossible for Ultra Magnus to be seduced by a low class mech like her.

Despite all efforts to get some answers, no one can find out where that sparkling came from or why Ultra Magnus has taken it upon himself to care for them. The Earth Team won’t talk and Magnus is “too busy” to hold a press conference.

In other news, Sentinel Prime seems to be on edge. It looks someone is jealous of the new bitlit in town.~

Ultra Magnus getting swamped by sparklings when he goes to visit Vector Sigma. Any reporter bots in the area quickly take pics of the Magnus smiling as they had never seen that happen before.

Ultra Magnus smiling is such a rare phenomenon that very few believe it actually happens. There’s even a small rumor going around Cybertron that he can’t smile because something in his face has broke/gone rusty/went stiff over the years.

When the newbots capture photos of Ultra Magnus smiling, Cybertron goes crazy about it. Every newsline is making headlines about it, every bar is talking about it, every corner is covered in copies of the photos. There is literally no where on Cybertron a bot can go without seeing or hearing about Ultra Magnus’ smile.

Meanwhile, Ultra Magnus is kind of perplexed and flustered by all the new attention. So he smiled the bitlits. What’s the big deal? They’re babies, you can’t not smile at a baby.

Everyone thinking Ultra Magnus is always the tough, serious ruler until they see him with a sparkling. Then they know he's the tough, serious ruler that can make bots terrified while holding a giggling sparkling.

This makes me so frustrated because I just saw a comic of Batman doing exactly this the other day but I didn’t reblog it and I didn’t like it and I can’t remember who reblogged. But I swear on my life, that comic is exactly how Ultra Magnus would be with a sparkling.

Sentinel can't help but feel a bit jealous about sparkling!Optimus tho and Jazz just smiles about it. He did his best not to laugh when bby!Optimus tugged on Sentinel's chin

It was bad enough when Ultra Magnus practically slapped Optimus on the wrist for (indirectly) killing Elita. He should have been kicked out of the academy, stripped of his rank, and hauled off to jail. Instead he got a promotion, a ship, a crew, and a job. Granted that job was cleaning space bridges, the crew was washed up and undisciplined, the ship was broken and rusty, but the promotion was completely unfair. He didn’t deserve to be a Prime after what he did, but when you’re the Magnus’ favorite…

“It’s killin’ you, isn’t it?” Sentinel didn’t need to look at Jazz to know he was smiling. He could hear it in his voice, the smug bastard.

“No.” His optics narrow as Optimus bursts into a giggling fit while Ultra Magnus rubs his finger on the little Prime’s side.

“You’re not still mad at him for pulling on your chin, are you?”

“No!” Now Sentinel turns to glare at Jazz. “And I thought I told you not to bring that up.”

“Sorry, mech,” the cyberninja flashed a smile that clearly showed he felt no remorse for his words. “I just thought it was cute how he thought it could be removed and–”

“Shut up before I make you replace all the rivets on the Steelhaven.”

Ultra Magnus would take it upon himself to always check on sparkling!Optimus whenever he's on Earth

He wouldn’t even lie about why he’s there either.

Maybe at first he’d claim to be there to watch out for Decepticon activity because the Earth Team is down one player and Starscream is a high ranking Decepticon officer. If he was busted flying around Earth then there’s bound to be other officers - and maybe even Megatron - too. The Decepticon High Command is no laughing matter, and should be handled by experienced mecha.

But pretty much everybot knows what’s really going on. Yes, the Decepticons are a threat and, yes, they should be handled by bots who know how to deal with them, but is it really necessary for the Magnus to always carry around the Primeling whenever he’s at the base? No.

Is anyone going to say something about it? No.

Bumblebee might have muttered something to Bulkhead once about how Ultra Magnus should just move his office to their base because he visits so much, and having to clear a room out for him every week is getting annoying. When the two of them started snickering, Ultra Magnus caught them off guard and asked what was so funny. While they stammered and stumbled over their words, Ratchet was kind enough to fill in the blanks and made up an excuse about their vocalizers experiencing some glitches that needed working out, something which he was about to get started on, isn’t that right boys? (His real reason for herding them off to the medbay was to chew them out for being so stupid and disrespectful to their leader.) Ultra Magnus seemed satisfied with his answer though, and wished the medic the best of luck in fixing the two while he returned to his office with Optimus resting in the crook of his arm, chittering and cooing like he does whenever he’s around Magnus.

The next day, Ultra Magnus announced that he was going to be stationed on Earth for a while. An Elite Guard ship will arrive in a few days with some much needed gear and office supplies.

No one believes Bumblebee when he says that Magnus is only around because of what he said. This has got to be some kind of revenge for talking about him. The old bot heard him, he’s just like Ratchet with his sharp hearing, he knows it

Ratchet was tired.

He had sprawled out on the couch in the rec room, watching the younger bots. Wheeljack had promised him that the effects were temporary and that the younger bots would be back to normal in about a week.

Ratchet watched Bumblebee speed away from Prowl after having knocked over the ninjabot’s tower of blocks. A week wouldn’t be quick enough with four sparklings around the base.

Bulkhead and Optimus were the most well behaved out of all of them. They shared a blanket while they napped, small engines purring in their recharge.

Ratchet winced when Bumblebee jumped onto his chasis to get away from Prowl. He was getting too old for this…

Imagine baby robots thinking they can drive over little ditches like their parents do, but they don't know they need to go at an angle and just end up stuck with their rear wheels spinning in the air

Babies gets so upset over how they failed that they forget they can transform to robot mode and walk out of the ditch. Parent has to pick them up out of the ditch, cuddle and soothe them until they've calmed down enough to transform.

Imagine baby robots driving over little ramps and feeling super proud of themselves when they clear the jump and their parent cheers them on.
